Role Summary:
With technology offerings constantly changing, it can be difficult for senior managers to understand how effective the latest innovations will help support their goals. Job Description
About the Role
Testing AI systems is a fundamentally different problem than testing traditional software. Outputs are non-deterministic. "Correct" is often a spectrum. And the failure modes-hallucinations, drift, prompt injection-don't show up in unit tests. We need an engineer who understands this and can build the testing strategies, evaluation frameworks, and quality infrastructure to keep our agents reliable in production.
As an AI Quality Engineer, you'll design how we test intelligent agents, agentic workflows, and Foundation Layer capabilities. This is not a manual QA role-you'll write code, build evaluation pipelines, and create automated testing frameworks that run in CI/CD. You'll define what "quality" means for AI systems at AGS and build the systems to measure it.
You'll work across every solution the team builds, which means you'll have broad visibility into the architecture and deep understanding of how our agents behave in the real world. If you're an engineer who cares about quality and wants to solve testing problems that most teams haven't figured out yet, this is the role.
Responsibilities
Testing Strategy & Design
+ Define testing strategies for AI agents, conversational interfaces, and agentic workflows
+ Design behavioral test suites for non-deterministic outputs-where "correct" isn't binary
+ Build evaluation frameworks that measure groundedness, factuality, relevance, and task completion
+ Identify failure modes specific to AI systems: hallucinations, prompt injection, context window limitations, drift
+ Develop testing approaches for each architecture pattern: RAG, function calling, human-in-the-loop, autonomous workflows
Test Automation & Infrastructure
+ Build automated evaluation pipelines that run as part of CI/CD
+ Create test harnesses for LLM-based systems-mocking, fixtures, and reproducible test scenarios
+ Develop regression suites that detect quality degradation when prompts, models, or data change
+ Build monitoring and alerting for production agent quality (accuracy, latency, error rates)
+ Maintain test infrastructure: test data management, environment setup, reporting dashboards
Evaluation & Metrics
+ Define quality metrics for each solution-what to measure and what thresholds matter
+ Build and maintain evaluation datasets (ground truth, reference outputs, edge case collections)
+ Conduct systematic prompt evaluation when prompts or models change
+ Track quality trends over time and identify when re-evaluation is needed
+ Report quality metrics to the team and stakeholders in clear, actionable terms
Collaboration & Quality Culture
+ Partner with AI Solutions Engineers to define testability requirements during design
+ Work with AI Solutions Analysts to translate acceptance criteria into test scenarios
+ Review solution designs from a quality and testability perspective
+ Advocate for quality practices across the team-testing isn't an afterthought, it's part of delivery
+ Contribute to incident response by diagnosing quality failures and building regression tests
Qualifications
Qualifications
Required
+ 3-7 years of software engineering or quality engineering experience
+ Strong programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript-you write test code, not just test cases
+ Experience designing and building automated test frameworks
+ Understanding of AI/ML systems-you know why testing LLM outputs is different from testing deterministic code
+ Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build processes
+ Ability to reason about non-deterministic systems and design meaningful quality metrics
+ Strong analytical skills-you can look at agent outputs and determine whether they're good enough
Preferred
+ Experience testing AI/ML applications, conversational interfaces, or chatbots
+ Background in LLM evaluation: prompt testing, groundedness scoring, factuality checking
+ Familiarity with evaluation frameworks (DeepEval, Ragas, custom evaluation pipelines)
+ Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Copilot Studio) testing
+ Background in Azure services and cloud-based test infrastructure
+ Experience with load testing and performance testing for API-based systems
+ Familiarity with staffing, HR tech, or workforce management domains
Technology Stack
+ Languages: Python, TypeScript
+ Platforms: Azure (Container Apps, Functions, AI Services), Microsoft 365
+ Testing: pytest, evaluation frameworks (DeepEval, Ragas, custom), load testing tools
+ AI/ML: LLM evaluation, prompt testing, RAG evaluation, behavioral testing
+ Data: REST APIs, Dataverse, SQL
+ Tools: Git, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, monitoring/alerting (Application Insights)
We don't expect expertise in everything. AI quality engineering is a new discipline-we expect strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to figure out new problems.
What We're NOT Looking For
+ Manual testers who write test cases in spreadsheets
+ QA professionals who treat testing as a gate at the end of development rather than a practice woven into it
+ People who expect deterministic pass/fail for every test-AI quality requires nuance
+ Engineers who test to the spec but don't think about how real users will break things
What Makes You Stand Out
+ You've tested a system where "correct" was hard to define-and found a way to measure it anyway

Job Description
About the Role
You're the backbone of delivery. As an AI Solutions Engineer, you'll own complex features end-to-end-from design through production-and produce work that sets the standard for the rest of the team. You'll build intelligent agents, agentic workflows, and Foundation Layer capabilities that multiple solutions depend on.
This role sits between Junior Engineers and the Lead. You deliver independently on hard problems, contribute meaningfully to architecture decisions, and make the engineers around you better through code review and informal mentoring. The Lead sets technical direction; you execute it at a high level and push back when something doesn't make sense.
We expect you to be self-directed. You'll take ambiguous requirements and turn them into working software. You'll make sound trade-off decisions. You'll know when to build something reusable and when to ship something specific. If you want deep technical ownership without the overhead of formal leadership, this is your role.
Responsibilities
Design & Deliver
+ Own complex features and services end-to-end-design, build, test, deploy, monitor
+ Build intelligent agents, conversational interfaces, and agentic workflows
+ Develop Foundation Layer services-reusable AI capabilities exposed as REST APIs and MCP servers
+ Design and implement integrations between AI capabilities and enterprise systems
+ Make sound technical decisions independently, escalating when appropriate
+ Troubleshoot complex issues across the full stack-prompts, orchestration, APIs, infrastructure
Architecture & Technical Quality
+ Contribute to architecture decisions and advocate for good design
+ Identify opportunities to extract reusable capabilities from solution-specific work
+ Write code that others can maintain-clean, well-tested, well-documented
+ Drive quality improvements: better test coverage, better patterns, better tooling
+ Evaluate new technologies and recommend adoption when they provide clear value
Team Contribution
+ Mentor junior engineers through pairing, code review, and coaching
+ Conduct thorough, constructive code reviews that raise team quality
+ Contribute to technical interviews and hiring decisions
+ Share knowledge through documentation, design discussions, and informal teaching
+ Propose and drive improvements to team processes and engineering practices
Stakeholder Collaboration
+ Translate business requirements into technical designs with appropriate trade-offs
+ Provide accurate estimates and communicate risks proactively
+ Partner with QA and Analysts to ensure quality and completeness
+ Represent engineering perspectives in cross-functional discussions
Qualifications
Qualifications
Required
+ 3-6 years of software engineering experience with demonstrated ability to deliver complex work independently
+ Strong programming fundamentals in Python and/or TypeScript
+ Experience designing and building APIs, services, or distributed systems
+ Solid understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP acceptable)
+ Track record of writing well-tested, production-quality code
+ Experience with code review-both giving feedback that improves code and receiving it constructively
+ Ability to take ambiguous requirements and deliver working solutions
Preferred
+ Experience building AI/ML applications, conversational interfaces, or intelligent automation
+ Familiarity with LLM concepts: prompt engineering, RAG patterns, function calling, evaluation
+ Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Copilot Studio)
+ Background in Azure AI services, OpenAI APIs, or similar LLM platforms
+ Understanding of orchestration frameworks (Semantic Kernel, LangChain, or similar)
+ Experience in staffing, HR tech, or workforce management
+ Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
Technology Stack
+ Languages: Python, TypeScript
+ Platforms: Azure (Container Apps, Functions, AI Services), Microsoft 365
+ Agent Development: Copilot Studio, Power Automate, custom orchestration
+ Data: REST APIs, Dataverse, SQL, Snowflake
+ AI/ML: Large Language Models, prompt engineering, RAG patterns, MCP
+ Tools: Git, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Docker
We don't expect expertise in everything. We expect strong fundamentals and the ability to learn quickly.
What We're NOT Looking For
+ Configuration specialists who rely on drag-and-drop tools instead of writing code
+ Engineers who deliver "good enough" and move on without considering maintainability
+ Senior-by-title engineers who still need close supervision on design decisions
+ People who treat AI as magic rather than engineering-we build, test, and iterate
What Makes You Stand Out
+ You write code you'd be comfortable handing to someone else to maintain
+ You know when to build for reuse and when to ship something purpose-built
+ You push back on bad ideas respectfully, including your own
+ You make junior engineers better by working alongside them
+ You take ownership of problems, not just tasks
+ You've debugged something truly painful and came out the other side with a better system
Career Growth
This role sits in the middle of our engineering career track:
Junior → Senior → Lead → Architect
From here, you'll move toward the Lead role-taking on technical direction, formal mentoring, and broader architecture ownership. The path to Lead is about demonstrating consistent technical judgment, the ability to drive projects independently, and the willingness to make other engineers better.
Additional Information
As a workplace, we focus on relationships - with each other, our clients and our candidates - in fact serving others is one of our core values. We support open communication and recognize that giving constructive criticism can be even harder than receiving it. We appreciate the fearless and the passionate, who force us to be better. Job Description
About the Role
We're building AGS's AI Engineering team from the ground up, and we're hiring engineers at the start of their careers who want to build real AI systems-not tinker with demos. As a AI Solutions Engineer I, you'll write code that ships to production, contributing to intelligent agents, agentic workflows, and the reusable Foundation Layer capabilities that power them.
This is a learning-intensive role with real responsibility. You'll pair with senior engineers and the Lead, participate in code reviews, and build working features from day one. We don't expect you to know LLMs or the Microsoft ecosystem yet-we expect strong software engineering fundamentals and the drive to learn fast. If you can write clean code, reason about problems clearly, and take feedback well, we'll invest in your growth.
We hire engineers, not configuration specialists. If you want to write real software that solves real problems using AI, this is where to start.
Responsibilities
Build & Deliver
+ Develop features for intelligent agents, conversational interfaces, and agentic workflows
+ Implement components of Foundation Layer services under guidance from senior engineers
+ Write integrations between AI capabilities and enterprise systems (M365, Dataverse, external APIs)
+ Write clean, tested code that follows team patterns and standards
+ Fix bugs, investigate issues, and improve existing solutions
Learn & Grow
+ Pair program with senior engineers and the Lead to learn architecture patterns and best practices
+ Participate actively in code reviews-ask questions, give thoughtful feedback, and apply what you learn
+ Build understanding of our technology stack: Semantic Kernel, Azure, Microsoft 365, LLMs
+ Develop skills in prompt engineering, RAG patterns, and agent design through hands-on work

+ Data: REST APIs, Dataverse, SQL, Snowflake
+ AI/ML: Large Language Models, prompt engineering, RAG patterns, MCP
+ Tools: Git, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Docker
We don't expect you to know all of this. We expect the fundamentals and the ability to
learn the rest quickly.
What We're NOT Looking For
+ People who want to configure tools rather than write code
+ Engineers who wait to be told exactly what to do and how to do it
+ Developers who skip testing, documentation, or code review
+ People who treat AI as a black box rather than something to understand
What Makes You Stand Out
+ You've built something-a side project, an open-source contribution, a school project you're proud of
+ You write code that's clean and readable, not just functional
+ You ask good questions when you're stuck instead of spinning
+ You take feedback as fuel, not criticism
+ You're curious about how things work under the hood
+ You want to be great at this, not just good enough
Career Growth
This is the entry point for our engineering career track:
Junior → Senior → Lead → Architect
You'll have a clear path forward with real mentorship. The Lead AI Solutions Engineer and senior engineers will invest in your development through pairing, code review, and progressively larger scope. Engineers who grow quickly here will take on ownership of features, then systems, then architecture.
Additional Information
As a workplace, we focus on relationships - with each other, our clients and our candidates - in fact serving others is one of our core values. We support open communication and recognize that giving constructive criticism can be even harder than receiving it. We appreciate the fearless and the passionate, who force us to be better. Everything we do sits on a pillar of diversity - diverse perspectives, backgrounds and ideas drive innovation and make us successful.
