About the Role

BIBA Fashion is looking for an experienced Factory Head to lead its Indore Unit. The role requires a dynamic leader with deep expertise in luxury women wear ethnic apparel manufacturing, specializing in Aari, Adda, Zardozi, Resham, Sequin, Beadwork, Mirror Work, Thread Embroidery, and other intricate handcrafted embellishments . The incumbent will be responsible for driving operational excellence, quality, productivity, cost optimization, and timely execution while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Manufacturing

  • Lead end-to-end production of embroidered garments from sampling to bulk production.
  • Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to achieve delivery commitments.
  • Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, embroidery frames (Adda), and production capacity.
  • Drive productivity improvements while maintaining superior craftsmanship.
  • Monitor production efficiency and minimize idle time and bottlenecks.

Hand Embroidery & Surface Ornamentation

  • Possess strong technical knowledge of:
  • Kashida Embroidery
  • Aari Work
  • Adda Work
  • Zardozi
  • Resham Embroidery
  • Dabka & Nakshi Work
  • Sequin & Bead Embellishments
  • Mirror Work
  • Thread Work

  • Hand Crochet & Other Surface Ornamentation Techniques
  • Guide artisans in achieving premium craftsmanship and flawless execution.
  • Evaluate embroidery techniques for design feasibility and production scalability.

Quality Management

  • Establish robust quality control checkpoints across all production stages.
  • Ensure zero-defect production through continuous monitoring.
  • Minimize rework and rejection rates.
  • Ensure all garments meet BIBA's premium quality standards.

Artisan & Workforce Management

  • Lead a large team of production managers, supervisors, artisans, embroiderers, quality personnel, and support staff.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with embroidery contractors and artisan clusters.
  • Conduct skill enhancement and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, workplace discipline, and ethical manufacturing practices.

Vendor & Contractor Management

  • Develop and manage a network of embroidery vendors and job workers.
  • Evaluate vendor capabilities and monitor performance.
  • Negotiate commercial terms while ensuring quality and delivery commitments.
  • Ensure raw material availability for uninterrupted production.

Cost & Productivity Management

  • Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Improve line efficiency, production planning, and workflow optimization.
  • Monitor production KPIs and prepare MIS reports.
  • Optimize wastage, thread consumption, embellishment usage, and material utilization.

Cross Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with:

  • Participate in pre-production meetings to ensure seamless execution.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with factory safety norms and statutory regulations.

  • Implement SOPs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Fashion Technology, Apparel Production, Textile Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • 15–20+ years of experience in apparel manufacturing.
  • Minimum 8–10 years in a leadership role managing hand embroidery or luxury ethnic wear production.
  • Experience with premium ethnic wear, bridal wear, couture, or luxury fashion brands is highly preferred.
