Job Description
Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Kolkata, India
Experience Required: 15–20 years (Minimum 5 years as Head of Finance/CFO)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company's overall financial strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Act as a strategic financial advisor to the CEO and leadership team on business planning, growth, investments, and profitability.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting, and financial analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee cash flow management, treasury, working capital optimization, fund management, and banking relationships.
- Ensure timely preparation of financial statements, management reports, and board-level financial presentations.
- Drive statutory audits, tax planning, financial compliance, and regulatory reporting while maintaining robust internal controls.
- Manage all finance-related legal and statutory compliance, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Leverage modern finance technologies, ERP systems, automation tools, and business intelligence platforms to enhance financial processes and reporting.
- Build, lead, and mentor the finance and compliance team while strengthening governance and operational efficiency across the organization.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant
- 15-20 years of progressive finance leadership experience with at least 5 years as Head of Finance/CFO/Finance Controller.
- Prior experience in the IT or E-commerce industry is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of modern finance systems, ERP platforms, and digital finance tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and business partnering capabilities.

Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the financial strategy aligned with institutional growth, sustainability, and governance.
- Advise the Governing Body and senior leadership on financial planning, investments, funding, and resource allocation.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, working capital management, and financial performance analysis.
- Oversee accounting, financial reporting, ERP optimization, and timely presentation of financial reports to management and statutory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with Income Tax, GST, TDS, EPF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other regulatory requirements applicable to educational institutions.
- Lead statutory, internal, and government audits while strengthening internal controls, risk management, and financial transparency.
- Manage treasury operations, banking relationships, investments, institutional financing, grants, donations, and fund utilization.
- Oversee institutional finances including fee collections, scholarships, grants, research funding, and capital expenditure across multiple educational units.
- Collaborate with Trustees, academic leadership, auditors, bankers, consultants, and regulatory authorities to support strategic initiatives, accreditation, and institutional expansion.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
- 15–20+ years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior finance leadership role such as CFO, Finance Head, Director Finance, or Financial Controller.
- Prior experience in universities, educational institutions, trusts, foundations, or large not-for-profit organizations will be highly preferred.
- Experience in handling multi-unit finance operations will be an advantage.
