Role Description The Machine Design Engineer will design and develop conveyor systems and related machinery, ensuring that solutions meet performance, safety, and quality standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing CAD models and drawings, performing mechanical calculations, selecting components, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on product development and customization. The role involves supporting automation initiatives, optimizing existing designs for cost, manufacturability, and reliability, and providing technical input during installation, testing, and commissioning. The engineer will also document design processes, adhere to relevant industry standards, and assist with troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Vapi, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and practical experience with industrial machinery.
  • Proficiency in Machine Design, including component selection, stress analysis, and design for manufacturability.
  • Hands-on skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling and detailed engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of Automation in material handling systems, including integration of mechanical and control elements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Understanding of relevant standards and safety guidelines for industrial equipment.
  • Ability to collaborate with production, sales, and service teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience in conveyor systems or similar machinery design is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
