Job Description – Engineer (PE / ME / TE)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Engineer (PE / ME / TE) to support our Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) operations. The role is responsible for reviewing and auditing manufacturing processes within the SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and FATP (Final Assembly, Test, and Pack) workshops while driving process improvements, ensuring manufacturing efficiency, and maintaining engineering standards.

This role requires close collaboration with our Taiwan-based engineering teams; therefore, proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is mandatory .


Key Responsibilities

  • Review and audit engineering activities within SMT and FATP production workshops.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Provide engineering support in one or more of the following areas:
  • Process Engineering (PE)
  • Manufacturing Engineering (ME)
  • Test Engineering (TE)
  • Monitor production processes to improve product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and productivity.
  • Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, and overseas engineering teams, to support manufacturing operations and resolve technical issues.
  • Communicate effectively with Taiwan-based stakeholders to coordinate engineering activities, technical discussions, and project execution.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI), engineering change implementation (ECO/ECN), process validation, and production ramp-up.
  • Develop, review, and maintain engineering documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, process flow charts, PFMEA, and technical reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in Process Engineering (PE), Manufacturing Engineering (ME), or Test Engineering (TE) within an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SMT and FATP manufacturing processes.
  • Experience supporting high-volume electronics manufacturing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI), process validation, and production optimization.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, FMEA, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies is an advantage.


Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of SMT and FATP manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing and process-related issues effectively.
  • Strong documentation and technical reporting skills.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities.
  • Mandatory: Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken, written, and read) to effectively communicate with Taiwan-based engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering documentation tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with multinational engineering teams.
  • Exposure to EMS manufacturing standards and quality systems.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards and electronic manufacturing best practices is preferred.
