Role Description This is a full-time, on-site PLC Engineer / IoT Engineer role based in Ahmedabad. The role involves designing, programming, and commissioning Industrial IoT platforms for real-time data acquisition and monitoring. Responsibilities include configuring and maintaining field devices and sensors, connecting controllers and edge devices (such as Raspberry Pi) to the IoT ecosystem, and ensuring reliable communication across machines and shop-floor networks. The engineer will collaborate with production, maintenance, and software teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize system performance, and contribute to manufacturing analytics and traceability initiatives. The role also includes preparing technical documentation, following safety and compliance standards, and supporting continuous improvement across digitalized factory operations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Internet of Things (IoT) skills, including experience with industrial IoT architectures, protocols (such as MQTT/OPC UA), and edge device integration.
- Candidates should possess Software Development and Programming skills, with experience in PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text) and familiarity with scripting or higher-level languages for IoT and automation.
- Candidates should possess hands-on experience with hardware platforms such as Raspberry Pi and similar edge-computing devices used for data collection, control, and gateway functions.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Inductive Output Tube (IOT) or related industrial components, and be comfortable working with control panels, sensors, actuators, and industrial communication interfaces.
- Relevant qualifications include a degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related engineering fields; experience in industrial automation, SCADA, and PLC-based control systems is highly beneficial.
- Additional beneficial skills include familiarity with manufacturing processes, OEE and downtime analysis, basic networking concepts, problem-solving abilities
