Required Skills & Experience:

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Drive external relations activities at the Hyderabad campus,

building and maintaining relationships with alumni, industry,

corporate, and institutional stakeholders.

2. Plan and execute engagement activities and signature events at the

campus, coordinating logistics, stakeholders, and follow-through.

3. Support external-relations marketing and communications,

including content coordination, social media inputs, and

storytelling aimed at alumni and other external stakeholders, in

line with central guidelines.

4. Manage data support needs, including maintaining alumni and

stakeholder records, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to data

enrichment efforts.

5. Handle day-to-day operational tasks at the campus, serving as the

primary point of contact for DoER on the ground.

6. Coordinate and guide the student team locally, and work closely

with the central DoER team to align on priorities and deliverables.

Job Title: Video Editor

Location: GITAM University (Visakhapatnam / Hyderabad / Bengaluru Campus)

Experience: 3–4 years

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have experience in editing academic and promotional content, with a strong understanding of short-form video trends and motion graphics. You will work closely with the marketing team to produce high-quality content for digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit video content from lectures, seminars, student fests, and campus events into engaging reels and YouTube Shorts .
• Edit marketing content , including promotional videos and digital campaigns.
• Handle editing of student and professor video bytes to ensure clarity, consistency, and storytelling impact.
• Apply strong storytelling skills to create emotionally engaging and brand-aligned content.
• Collaborate with the content, design, and marketing teams to deliver the best creative output .
• Add motion graphics, transitions, and animations to elevate content.
• Perform colour grading, audio balancing , and final rendering for various digital platforms.
• Ensure all content adheres to GITAM’s branding and quality standards.
• Support video shoots, photography, and basic videography when needed.
• Stay updated on content trends for platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn .

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, and Lightroom .
• Strong knowledge of motion graphics and visual storytelling techniques.
• Experience in editing short-form content for social media platforms.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail with a creative and proactive approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of social media video strategies and current trends.
• Basic shooting/editing experience with DSLRs or mirrorless cameras is a plus.
• Prior experience in an academic or creative marketing environment is advantageous

• A good academic record, with a Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and First class or equivalent at Bachelor’s and Master’s level in the relevant branch.
• Experience of teaching and / or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry with publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals

• Minimum 8 years of teaching/industry/research experience, including at least 3 years at the Assistant Professor level.
• Minimum 2 years of experience after obtaining the PhD.

Professor

• PhD in Computer Science Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of teaching/industry/research experience, including at least 4 years at the Associate Professor level.
• Proven academic leadership with a strong record of research, publications, funded projects, and doctoral supervision.
