Role Description The Senior Financial Analyst – US Accounting will handle end-to-end accounting operations for US-based clients, including bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and reconciliations. The role involves preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US accounting standards, supporting compliance, and assisting with audit-related documentation and schedules. The Senior Financial Analyst will coordinate with client stakeholders to gather information, clarify accounting entries, address queries, and ensure timely delivery of reports. Responsibilities also include working with accounting software and ERPs commonly used in the US market, maintaining accurate documentation, and contributing to process improvements and standardization. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad.


Qualifications

  • Must Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA (USA)


Years of Work experience necessary:

  • 3+ years prior work experience in US Accounting will be must OR
  • For Non-US work experience, prior 5+ years large corporate work experience will be must.


The role will be part of the US Accounting division and primarily responsible for our client’s accounting and financial reporting. Key responsibilities include managing the general ledger, revenue and cost accounting, financial reporting, regulatory compliance support, and audit preparatory support.


Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct account analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and review the general ledger to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and project managers to gather, analyse, and interpret relevant financial information to support monthly and annual close processes.
  • Reviewing project variances- job cost, project budget, WIP, and associated billings.
  • Maintain the accounting for fixed assets including company vehicles.
  • Timely processing of month-end close functionalities.Support the compilation of financial reports and KPIs.
  • Knowledge of business Insurance, CCIP, and OCIP processes.
  • Maintain financial historical records, and proper supporting documents and establish internal accounting controls.
  • Support internal and external audits for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in various tax preparation and filings- 1099s, Sales tax, Property tax, etc
  • Streamline existing processes, ensure processes are well documented and current, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate financial audits and reviews of accounting records.
  • Prepare audit schedules, respond to inquiries, and address audit findings on time.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives to support continuous improvement efforts, system enhancements, and process optimization within the finance and accounting function.


Must also have the following demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken English).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willing to work beyond normal scheduled work hours as necessary
  • Works well under pressure and able to meet deadlines
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Working knowledge of accounting tools in the Construction industry is an advantage. Knowledge of CMiC ERP Software will be preferrable.
  • Reliable, driven, self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of GAAP/IFRS
  • Team Handling experience of 3-4+ people will be preferrable.


Other Skills:

-    Good communication - Written & spoken English is MUST!

-    Working exposure to MS Office especially MS Excel is MUST! Advanced MS Excel knowledge Mandatory.


Joining: IMMEDIATE or within One Month


Job location: Ahmedabad (Work from Office Only)


Shift Timings: 03.30 PM IST to 12.30 AM IST (Monday to Friday)
