Position Summary

Sikich is seeking a Controller with 8+ years of accounting or audit experience. The ideal candidate must have experience in US GAAP general accounting, financial statement preparation or review/audit, and team management experience. The Controller will own oversee the month-end close and accounting processes of our clients. This role is highly client-facing and requires close collaboration with U.S.-based engagement teams and executive client stakeholders.

What will you do in this role?

  • Own the monthly and annual close processes for assigned clients
  • Own accuracy and completeness of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and client-specific policies. In some instances, help clients implement accrual and GAAP practices
  • Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations and actionable insights
  • Support technical accounting topics, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), accruals, consolidations, complex transactions (Opening Balance Sheet review), etc.
  • Serve as the primary accounting lead for a portfolio of clients across industries (e.g., SaaS, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, professional services, healthcare, etc.)
  • Establish and strengthen internal controls and accounting processes
  • Support audit readiness and coordinate with external auditors
  • Own the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial reporting for assigned clients
  • Advise clients on accounting policies, controls and process improvements
  • Build strong relationships with U.S.-based clients, acting as a trusted advisor on accounting and financial matters
  • Participate in regular client meetings (often overlapping U.S. time zones) to review financial results, address issues, and provide insights

What do you need to succeed in this role?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and CA, CPA (US), MBA (Finance), or equivalent professional qualification preferred, with demonstrated experience in U.S. GAAP accounting.
  • CPA (US) is a major plus.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP.
  • Managed team(s) having at least 10-20 team members.
  • Prior experience in a Delivery Management role for a US based firm.
  • Experience with U.S. accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, etc.)

Position Summary

Sikich is seeking a highly analytical and client-focused Assistant Manager/Manager/ Sr. Manager with 8+ years of progressive FP&A roles. The FP&A Manager will join our Outsourced Finance & Accounting (CAS/OAS) practice. Based in India, this individual will act as the finance business partner for a portfolio of U.S.-based clients, leading financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis efforts.


This role is highly client-facing and requires close collaboration with U.S.-based engagement teams and executive client stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong financial modeling expertise, commercial acumen, and experience operating in a multi-client, fast-paced professional services environment.

The final level/title (Assistant Manager, Manager, or Sr. Manager) will be aligned based on the candidate’s experience, demonstrated skillsets, and interview assessment.

What will you do in this role?

  • Own and manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for multiple clients
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models, including revenue forecasting, cost structure analysis, cash flow forecasts, and scenario planning
  • Own cash flow forecasting, liquidity tracking, and runway analysis, including proactive identification of risks and mitigation strategies
  • Analyze monthly results versus budget/forecast and provide clear variance explanations including root cause identification and recommendation of corrective actions
  • Design and track key performance indicators (KPIs) tailored to client industry and growth stage
  • Support board and investor reporting, including preparation of financial decks and performance narratives
  • Partner with U.S.-based Controllers and accounting teams to ensure alignment between actual results and forecasts
  • Work closely with client leadership across operations, sales, and marketing to understand drivers of financial performance
  • Serve as the primary FP&A lead for a portfolio of clients, acting as a strategic advisor to founders, CFOs, and leadership teams through driver-based analysis and scenario modeling
  • Lead regular financial review meetings with U.S.-based clients to present insights, KPIs, and forward-looking analysis with clear, concise communication tailored to non-financial stakeholders
  • Translate financial results into actionable business recommendations to support growth, profitability, and cash management
  • Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and high-value insights
  • Drive standardization, automation and scalability across FP&A processes and reporting
  • Lead, coach and review work of FP&A team; provide feedback and support the teams development
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in US and manage delivery quality and timelines across India team supporting US clients


What do you need to succeed in this role?

  • MBA in Finance, CA or CFA is a plus.
  • Previous experience in FP&A role.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting for listed entities.
  • Managed team(s) having at least 2-7 team members.
  • Prior experience in a Delivery Management role for a US based firm.
  • Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
  • Organizational skills to manage a big team and strategic client engagements.
  • Self-motivated with strong work ethic.
  • Proactive approach to accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Possesses a combination of both problem-solving and innovation skills to attend to several technical production challenges.
