About the Team – Supply Chain Operations


The Supply Chain Operations team plays a critical role in enabling the end-to-end supply chain ecosystem. We are responsible for managing key business processes and supporting the development and execution of capabilities that enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness. Our team is collaborative, data-driven, and focused on delivering value through continuous improvement and strategic planning.


Job Summary

Senior Manager – Facility Engineering & Asset Management Insights is a leadership role responsible for driving Insights, Engineering, Automation, and Asset Lifecycle Management across Target’s supply chain network, with strong focus on 4-wall operations.

The role is responsible for developing and governing facility maintenance, asset management, and material handling equipment (MHE) strategies across the network. This role provides centralized engineering leadership for warehouse infrastructure, automation systems, maintenance excellence, reliability programs, capital investments, and operational standards.

The Senior Manager will lead teams of Data professionals and solution experts, drive global partnerships, challenge the status quo, and deliver enterprise-scale solutions through strong technical acumen, strategic thinking, and people leadership.

Based in TII, the role partners closely with global stakeholders, internal technology teams, and third-party integrators deliver enterprise-scale engineering solutions while ensuring compliance with safety, security, and engineering governance standards.


Key Responsibilities


Capital Planning & Engineering Projects

  • Develop multi-year capital investment plans for facilities and equipment.
  • Prioritize network capital expenditures based on operational needs and business strategy.


Data Analytics & Performance Management

  • Develop enterprise dashboards and KPIs for facility and equipment performance.
  • Leverage CMMS, EAM, and operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Benchmark facility performance across the distribution network and provide recommendations


Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Lead initiatives focused on - Asset productivity, Maintenance optimization, Automation adoption and Cost reduction
  • Support Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence programs.
  • Drive innovation through advanced analytics, AI/ML, and automation.
  • Lead problem solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong data architecture, Insights frameworks, and visualization capabilities.


Reliability & Maintenance Excellence

  • Develop network-wide preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Establish reliability engineering frameworks and best practices.
  • Monitor asset health and reliability performance across all distribution facilities.
  • Lead root cause analysis for major equipment failures and recurring issues.
  • Improve network performance metrics including:
  • Equipment uptime
  • MTBF
  • MTTR
  • Maintenance cost efficiency


Technical Competencies

  • Material Handling Systems (Conveyors, Sorters, ASRS, Robotics, AMRs)
  • Reliability Engineering
  • Asset Management
  • CMMS/EAM Platforms (SAP PM, Maximo, Infor, etc.)

  • 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Experience supporting multiple distribution centers or large-scale supply chain networks.
  • Experience with warehouse technologies and capital project management preferred.
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering enterprise-scale automation solutions.
  • Experience in managing team working across the 4-wall operation in field or HQ.
  • Technical skills include Python, R, SQL, or similar technologies
  • Experience working with vendors, system integrators, and cross-functional internal teams.
