We are urgently hiring for the position of AVP/VP – Corporate Sales (General Insurance – Commercial) for our Surat office.
The ideal candidate should have 06–15 years of experience in corporate/commercial insuranc e sales, with strong expertise in Property, Liability, Marine, Engineering, Employee Benefits, and a proven track record in large account acquisition, key account management, and CXO-level relationship management.
The role includes driving regional business growth, managing insurer relationships, leading a sales team, and ensuring strong adherence to IRDAI and broking standard.

1. Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Identify, target and acquire new corporate clients across sectors
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business targets
- Prepare and deliver customized insurance solutions to corporate clients
2. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key corporate accounts
- Coordinate with placement, operations and claims teams to ensure seamless client experience
3. Market & Product Knowledge
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of insurance products, market trend and underwriting practice
- Stay updated with IRDAI
4.Sales Planning & Reporting
- Prepare annual and quarterly sales plans and forecasts
- Track performance metrics and provide regular sales reports to Reporting Head
- Participate in business review meetings and contribute to strategic initiatives
5. Team Collaboration
- Work closely with placement, claims and support teams for client deliverables
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of insurance products (Group Health, Property, Liability, Marine, etc.)
- Proven track record in B2B or corporate sales within insurance broking or insurance industry
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate / Postgraduate (MBA preferred)
- Minimum 4–9 years of experience in corporate insurance sales, preferably in an insurance broking environment.
- IRDAI Broker License or eligibility to obtain one.

About the Role
The Corporate Sales role at Unilight Insurance Brokers is responsible for driving business growth by acquiring and managing corporate clients, understanding their risk exposures, and offering customized insurance solutions aligned with their business objectives. The role requires strong client engagement, consultative selling, and collaboration with insurers to deliver value-driven risk management solutions while achieving revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Build, manage, and strengthen long-term relationships with corporate clients by understanding their business operations and insurance requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring prompt resolution of queries and consistent service delivery.
- Maintain high levels of client satisfaction through proactive engagement and periodic reviews.
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Achieve assigned sales targets through new client acquisition and expansion of business volumn.
- Identify and gap analysis of client/corporates across various LOB (Property, Liability, Marine, Employee Benefits, etc.).
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to support organizational growth objectives.
Market Analysis & Business Development
- Conduct market research to identify potential corporate prospects and emerging trends in the insurance industry.
- Analyze client risk profiles and prepare tailored insurance solutions and proposals.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of corporate business opportunities.
Policy Presentation & Negotiation
- Deliver compelling presentations explaining insurance coverage, risk mitigation strategies, and value propositions to corporate clients.
- Coordinate with insurers and underwriters to negotiate optimal pricing, coverage, and terms on behalf of clients.
- Support policy placement, renewals, and endorsements in coordination with internal teams.
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation of client proposals, policies, contracts, and records as per regulatory and internal guidelines.
- Adhere to IRDAI regulations, compliance standards, and company policies while handling all client transactions.
