**Your responsibilities will include**

+ Negotiate with external suppliers to secure the most advantageous terms and track key functional metrics to improve the effectiveness of suppliers and be accountable for supplier agreements
+ Manage Total Cost Of Ownership ( BOM , Overall Cost Structure , Quality & logistics )
+ Coordinate with internal & external business partners for meeting the monthly & daily production plan, releasing the Purchase order & generating the monthly MIS report to leadership
+ Collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders and supplier partners to demonstrate Product Leadership of new launches and expectations of the company
+ Perform risk management regarding supply contracts and agreements
+ Analysing and deciphering change/improvement opportunities to add value to business -Support new key value-based initiatives in the commodity space

**Minimum requirements**
+ 4-6 years relevant experience

The Quality Generalist team conducts internal quality controls concerning particular areas or company products to ensure they fulfill given quality procedures and norms. Monitors and records inconsistencies with quality procedures and norms. Preparing quality analyses and recommends necessary quality procedure changes.
**This role in summary**
Lead all in region quality related issues for different home appliances categories like Air Conditioners, Washers, MWO .etc. This person will need to develop a close working relationship with our manufacturing partners.Provide leadership and guidance to the manufacturing partners to ensure that WOIL products are manufactured in accordance with Whirlpool specifications and meet Whirlpool quality standards.

**Your responsibilities will include**
+ EPI /NPI Project management (APQP/PIQ), ensure external buy product development process meets project schedule & quality requirements.
+ Work with Cross functional teams - Commodity / Marketing / Engineering / Mfg Quality / SCM / Project Management including suppliers on new projects.
+ Quality contract discussion & finalization with the Commodity team.
+ Deliver PIQ (Purchase item qualification) & PPAP according to project schedule. Work with 3rd party to conduct the early production containment, to perform NPI inspection.
+ Manage information on supplier's quality performance metrics in the field & at Whirlpool's manufacturing divisions (SIR, PPM, CAL)
+ Identify supplier improvement and risk mitigation opportunities at key supplier sites and manage these improvement actiavities.

Whirlpool is looking for a qualified candidate for the role of Motor Expert (Senior Analyst) for the Laundry System team at the Pondicherry location.
This role will lead the development and validation of motor systems for semi-automatic, fully-automatic (top-load & front-load) washers and dryers. The candidate will be responsible for driving performance, cost, quality, and energy efficiency improvements across PSC, Universal, BPM (Inverter), and Direct Drive motor architectures, including Motor Control Unit (MCU) integration.
The role demands strong technical depth in electromechanical systems, cross-functional collaboration, and structured problem solving to ensure Whirlpool laundry products deliver differentiated performance, reliability, and energy efficiency in alignment with global standards.
**Your responsibilities will include:**
+ Lead motor system development and validation for new and existing laundry products (washers and dryers).
+ Define and optimize motor sizing, torque, and speed characteristics based on system performance requirements and product configurations.
+ Drive motor technology selection and standardization across platforms (PSC, Universal, BPM, Direct Drive).
+ Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to develop motor specifications, drawings, and validation plans.
+ Support Motor Control Unit (MCU) hardware/software integration for speed, torque, and efficiency optimization.
