Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Instrumentation & Controls engineers to join our team.The ideal candidates will be responsible for designing, engineering/implementing, installation and commissioning of controls system.
Key ResponsibilitiesSystem DesignShould be able to read and understand P&ID’s, logic drawings, control narratives, etc. from the system configuration viewpoint.Understanding of field instrumentation and its interface with control systemGood understanding of system architecture and its hardware.Understanding abilities of reading customer logics and system configurationHands-on experience of Control Systems (PLC/DCS/SCADA/RTU) – HMI, Database and Control Logics Configuration.Understand project requirements, review & verify customer inputs for system configuration.Generate technical queries, participate in technical discussions with team members and customer.Develop Displays/Graphics based on the project specifications.Configure control system for IO database & process logics.Awareness of communication protocols and relevant work experience configuring and establishing communication with 3rd party devices
DocumentationGenerate project documentation based on the requirements. It may include IO database, Functional design document, System architecture, drawings, etc.Ensure full compliance to the project requirements and specifications while engineering the project (unless otherwise, approved deviations).
ComplianceEnsure compliance to project standards, regulations and safety guidelines while engineering the project.Participate in quality testing the system configuration.Conduct factory acceptance tests with customers.Be aware of project schedule and delivery commitments and ensure they are met all the time.Ensure customer satisfaction throughout project execution cycle.
CollaborationGood interpersonal skills and a team playerMust be self-starter, work independently in collaborative and diverse environment.Must be first time right in all the work assignments and deliverables. Always look for continuous improvement.Support lead engineer in developing project plan/WBS, project documentation and test procedures.Willing to travel based on job requirements.Experience of working on process industry projects will be an added advantage.Must be willing to visit site for installation and commissioning support based on the project need.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Control or equivalentExcellent logical acumenStrong knowledge of instrumentation principles and control strategiesProficiency in control system programming and HMI/graphics development
