Be A Part Of India’s Social Change Story


If you are an early career professional with knowledge and skills in engineering, science and/or technology, we are looking for you! With a background in STEM, you could:


  • Develop low-cost solutions for clean water access, sanitation, agricultural productivity, and healthcare delivery using appropriate technology and innovation
  • Contribute to development initiatives that promote environmental sustainability and mitigate the impacts of climate change on vulnerable communities
  • Work with interdisciplinary teams, including social workers, public health professionals, educators, and policymakers, to address complex social issues comprehensively


Inviting application for India Fellow


India Fellow is an 18-month social leadership program for early career professionals, willing to live and work alongside remote and disadvantaged communities, lead innovative projects, have a sense of adventure in their souls, and determination to find their leadership potential.

India Fellow has the following four major aspects:


1) Working with Communities: Spend most of your time working at grassroots with leading social organizations committed to bring positive change. You would be expected to live in your work area, typically a rural or a peri-urban setup, and understand the complexities at that level. This inculcates sensitivity and a deep understanding of society.


2) Training: You would receive eight weeks of residential training, spread across the duration of 18 months. The India Fellow pedagogy is unique; taking one from knowledge to wisdom. It engages a strong collective of sector leaders, academicians, researchers and practitioners.


3) Constant engagement: To ensure a balance between action and reflection, throughout the 18 months, you would get a chance to document your observations, experiences and insights as blogs/vlogs/podcasts. There are virtual sessions with mentors, online courses and collective fundraising.


4) Mentor-ship: Every fellow is exposed to a pool of mentors, who are experts with deep experience in their domain. Along with that, the fellowship ecosystem consists of facilitators, alumni and experienced professionals who are available to interact with the fellows to enrich their experience.


Selection Process:

  • Fill out the online application form -
  • Participate in a short telephonic conversation
  • Attend the assessment day (group activities and personal interview)
  • The final cohort will be announced by 1st July 2024. Fellowship begins on 1st August, 2024.


Eligibility:

  • You are an early career professional, between 21 to 30
  • You are ready for an 18-month full-time commitment to the fellowship
  • You have completed your graduation (in any discipline)
  • You understand that you can be placed in any part of the country

Fellows have been leading social ventures and solving complex problems across healthcare, livelihoods, financial inclusion, empowerment, education, migration, climate change, human rights, and governance.
