The Head of Data Privacy is responsible for overseeing and managing an IGT’s Global data privacy strategy, implementation, policies & and compliance efforts. This role involves ensuring that the organization complies with applicable data protection laws and regulations, safeguarding sensitive information, and promoting a culture of data privacy and security globally across all IGT sites.
Position: Head - Data Privacy
Job Responsibilities:
- Own and constantly review all the global data protection compliance arrangements to include updating policies, and guidelines, centralizing processes, and putting in place robust, time-bound remedial plans where necessary.
- Develop and maintain relevant global internal data privacy policies, records, and training & and conduct periodic verification & and validation of the practices implemented globally vis-à-vis data privacy
- Inform and advise IGT on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) along with other applicable local data protection laws and its requirements, liaising with local support as required.
- Serving as a subject matter expert for developing & and implementing a robust data protection plan.
- Liaise with other Business functions as necessary on cross-departmental data privacy Matters.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of privacy standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Assist with the privacy elements of client information security audits, questionnaires, proposals of engagement agreements etc. to demonstrate that the IGT privacy arrangements meet client expectations and industry standards.
- Assist with the investigation of privacy and security breaches, and with any associated disciplinary, legal and remedial matters as necessary.
- Act as a liaison to the firm's Corporate Governance and compliance in relation to global data privacy issues.
- Monitor the industry landscape to keep visibility on evolutions, trends, and best practices related to Data Privacy.
- Ensure that systematic compliance audits are undertaken and that their findings are reported and acted upon
Knowledge, Skills, Other Abilities:
- Should be a law Graduate
- Demonstrate experience in managing data privacy issues
- Solid working knowledge of complex privacy concepts, principles, and standards (including
- transfer of data) and their application in an international enterprise setting.
- Capable of conducting data privacy compliance reviews and audits.
- Should have excellent communication & and presentation skills
- Should have an analytical capability
Relevant Experience & Desired Education:
- Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience in driving Data Protection & Privacy & Audits
- Graduate: Law Graduate
