Full Job Description

DAVA Oncology is a fast-growing oncology-focused consulting company headquartered in Dallas, Texas. We are recruiting for a Medical Writer and Research Analyst to join our team based out of Delhi, India. Our team members have the opportunity to work with our growing team in a variety of areas, including, but not limited to: clinical trial research and communications, drug or trial publication research and review, and oncology conference meeting reviews. Any applicant with previous experience in the oncology therapeutic area is highly desirable.


Specific responsibilities may include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Conducting secondary research and acquiring information from internet sources and compiling into content
  • Interpretation, analysis, and compilation of proprietary data in a manner that delivers a compelling scientific story
  • Research, writing, editing and proofing of protocols, reports, and publications
  • Current strong scientific understanding of oncology (or the ability to quickly achieve such understanding)
  • Ability to conduct secondary research and acquire information from internet sources, journals, public databases, etc.
  • Preparation of materials for major cancer conferences and internal oncology meetings


Qualifications:

  • At least 1 experience with a focus on oncology is preferred; publication planning experience is a plus
  • Ph.D. in biology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, immunology, molecular biology, biotechnology, Pharm. D. with a background in biochemistry and/or organic chemistry, or other substantially related fields of study
  • Candidates with a M.S. in one of the above-mentioned fields with exceptional experience and/or qualifications will also be considered
  • Authorship in prestigious peer-recognized journals is highly preferred
  • Experience planning, writing, and reviewing study designs, protocols, data analysis, study reports, and regulatory documents is highly preferred
  • One or more years of experience in the industry (i.e., with a pharmaceutical company and/or CRO) is highly preferred


Skills and Proficiencies:

  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written form; compose and edit written materials; explain technical concepts in non-technical terms to colleagues and counterparts
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to operate peripheral computer equipment (e.g., printers, scanners, and other typical office equipment)
  • Work collaboratively and/or individually on multiple projects of varying complexity in a deadline-driven environment
  • Highly motivated, organized, and collaborative self-starter
  • Ability to present a professional appearance at all times
