About The Role
SARC's Cyber Risk Services practice advises regulated Indian enterprises and critical-infrastructure operators on securing their environments end to end. We are expanding our operational technology (OT) capability and are looking for a hands-on Subject Matter Expert who can lead OT/ICS security assessments, architecture reviews, and remediation roadmaps for clients across manufacturing, utilities, PSU, and critical-infrastructure sectors.
This is a mid-senior, client-facing role. You will be the technical authority on OT security engagements — scoping the work, running the assessment, and translating findings into board-ready recommendations. Because our pipeline is active, we can only consider candidates who are available to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead OT/ICS security assessments against IEC 62443 , NIST CSF, and relevant sectoral guidance, covering plant floor, SCADA/DCS, PLCs, HMIs, historians, and the IT/OT boundary.
- Perform network segmentation and zone-and-conduit reviews; design and validate Purdue-model-aligned architectures.
- Conduct asset discovery, vulnerability assessment, and risk analysis in live OT environments with minimal operational disruption.
- Assess IT/OT convergence risks, remote access, and third-party/vendor connectivity.
- Produce clear, prioritised remediation roadmaps and present findings to plant leadership, CISOs, and boards.
- Support proposals, scoping, and technical solutioning during business development.
- Mentor assessment team members and contribute to SARC's OT capability materials and methodology.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrable, hands-on experience implementing or assessing against IEC 62443 (SL/zone-conduit modelling, 62443-2-1/-3-2/-3-3/-4-2 as applicable).
- 6+ years in cybersecurity with a strong concentration in OT/ICS/SCADA security.
- Working knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, IEC 60870/61850) and OT-specific tooling (e.g., Nozomi, Claroty, Dragos, Tenable OT).
- Familiarity with the IT/OT boundary, network segmentation, firewalls, and secure remote access in operational settings.
- Strong report-writing and stakeholder communication skills — able to speak to both engineers and executives.
- Available to join immediately.
Preferred:
- Certifications such as GICSP, IEC 62443 (ISA/IEC), CISSP, or equivalent.
- Exposure to critical-infrastructure regulations and Indian regulatory expectations (CERT-In, sectoral CII/NCIIPC guidance).
- Experience across multiple verticals (manufacturing, power/utilities, oil & gas, transport).
- Prior consulting or advisory background with client-facing delivery.

+ Drive specialized risk and compliance programs dedicated to specific country-level mandates, ensuring precise local execution. Translate master global policies into steps, ensuring testing rubrics are physically executable for sites facing bespoke local mandates.
+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders to navigate ongoing regulations and provide perspective on compliance impacts.
