Senior Video Editor - Job Description
About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Video Editor who can take raw energy from campus events, testimonials, reels, and regional footage, and shape them into cinematic, emotional, and on-brand visual narratives. You’ll be the go-to editor for regional brand content and will help shape how students, parents, and educators see NIAT across India.
As a core part of the NIAT creative team, you’ll collaborate closely with cinematographers, motion designers, and content creators across multiple campuses. You’ll be mentored by NIAT’s Central Senior Editors and aligned with the broader brand tone and storytelling language developed at HQ.
What You'll Do
- Edit campus videos across formats: event films, testimonials, podcast, social media reels, vlogs, and montages
- Craft compelling narratives with strong rhythm, emotional pacing, and brand-aligned aesthetics
- Maintain visual consistency and excellence across regional content deliveries
- Collaborate with campus producers and cinematographers to understand the shoot context and intent
- Coordinate with motion designers to integrate graphics, lower-thirds, end cards, and transitions
- Ensure proper project structure, file naming, export specs, and delivery hygiene
- Receive mentorship and periodic reviews from Central Senior Editors and Creative Leads
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of strong editing experience in branded content, digital storytelling, or regional campaigns
- Fluency in Premiere Pro (After Effects and DaVinci Resolve are a big plus)
- Strong understanding of narrative logic, visual flow, and pacing
- A creative eye for music sync, montage design, rhythm, and reel-worthy storytelling
- Basic sound mixing and grading skills (advanced grading will be handled separately)

- A collaborative mindset—you know editing is a team sport
Why Join Us?
- Be part of India’s fastest-growing edtech creative brand

Job Description
WE ARE HIRING
Position: Creative Video Editor
Location: Netaji Subhash Place
Mode: On-site
Package: Up to 3.6 LPA
About
Jolt is an iOS app that helps people take back control of their screen time. Video is how people find us, understand us, and download us, from Reels and Shorts to paid ads and product films. You would own the edit across all of it.
What You'll Do
- Cut across formats. Short-form for Reels, Shorts and TikTok, performance ads for Meta, UGC, product and feature videos, YouTube, and whatever the next channel turns out to be.
- Own the full edit: pacing, captions, sound design, footage selection, and motion where it earns its place.
- Work at volume and switch gears fast. Some weeks are ten shorts. Some weeks are one film that has to be right.
- Use whatever gets the result. AI generation, stock, motion graphics, screen recordings. We do not care about the pipeline. We care about the output.
- Sit with the creative team and build concepts, not just execute briefs.
What We're Looking For
- You feel pacing. You know when a cut is a beat too late.
- Range. A hook-driven Reel and a calm product film need different instincts, and you have both.
- Your captions and type have taste. Styled and intentional, not raw auto-subtitles.
- You watch video and instinctively know why something worked.
- You turn around clean edits fast without losing the craft.
- A reel or portfolio of work you actually edited.
Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci, Final Cut, CapCut. All fine. Tools are not the filter. Taste is.
Why Jolt
- Your edits ship. Days, not weeks, and no approval maze.
- You see the numbers on your own work. Retention, saves, installs, ad performance.
- Real range. You will not be cutting the same video for two years.
- Small team, direct line to growth. No layers between you and the decision.
- You are making work about focus, for an app that protects focus. The work and the product point the same way.
Kindly share your updated resume and portfolio at
