About the Team
The Contingent Workforce Program (CWP) team operates at the intersection of People, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Legal, Security, Procurement, and the business. The team designs, scales, and governs UKG's global contingent workforce model to enable flexibility while managing risk and supporting business growth.
As India continues to scale as a critical growth region, the CWP team ensures contingent labor is used intentionally, compliantly, and aligned to long‑term workforce strategy through strong partnerships.
About the Role
The Contingent Workforce Program Manager is an operationally strong, cross‑functional leader responsible for advancing UKG's contingent workforce program across India. This role goes beyond day‑to‑day operations to drive adoption, enable sound workforce decisions, and ensure compliant, consistent execution as the program scales.
Serving as UKG's in‑house India expert, this role partners closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Procurement, Legal, IT, Security, Third‑Party Risk, and business leaders. Success in this role requires strong judgment, the ability to influence without authority, and a "lead from the front" approach grounded in our CWP's guiding principles.
This role is not just about managing vendors or processes, it is about shaping how UKG builds and scales its workforce in India while protecting the organization and enabling long‑term success.
Key focus areas include:
- Build and lead an enablement function for HRBPs and TA to design effective staffing models and balance contingent and permanent labor
- Act as the India subject‑matter expert on contingent workforce policy, compliance, engagement models, and workforce risk
- Drive cross‑functional alignment and adoption across HR, TA, Finance, Procurement, IT, Security, Third‑Party Risk, Legal, and business leaders
- Provide recommendations based on best practices, market insight, and business objectives
- Balance speed and flexibility with control, compliance, and sustainability
- Support discovery and insights to inform future program enhancements and technology implementation
About You
You are a results‑oriented program leader who understands both the strategy and execution of contingent workforce management. You influence across functions without direct authority, translate complexity into clear guidance, and bring a strong point of view grounded in judgment, partnership, and impact.
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in contingent workforce management
- Experience partnering cross‑functionally with HR, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Legal, and business leaders
- Strong understanding of compliance, tenure, classification, and workforce risk
- Proven ability to drive adoption and influence change
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience supporting India‑based workforce models
- Experience implementing and managing an MSP and VMS
- Experience building enablement programs
- Public speaking, presentation, or training experience
- Ability to be on-site in UKG's Noida office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Contingent Workforce Professional (CCWP)
- Prior people management or team leadership experience
- Experience supporting global or distributed teams
- Comfort with in‑person stakeholder engagement and facilitation
