As the Sr TIPM of Engineering, you will need to coordinate across this network of teams and own delivery of cross organization initiatives. Using your technical background, you will need to understand implementation challenges of each organization and team, and find solutions while also earning trust with senior management to drive adoption from the top down.
A successful candidate will also demonstrate:

- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; owner mentality
- Demonstrated ability to dive deep in understanding the product, our business, and the market landscape
Key job responsibilities
In this role:

- You are accountable for the overall strategy of a large program. You successfully manage all stages (from concept to delivery). Your program meets business goals and/or shows measurable improvements in your customer's experience, business or employee efficiency or execution, compliance adherence, financial or other metrics, etc.
- You understand the interdependencies and functionality of the technologies you work with (e.g. customer requirements, deployment constraints, design limitations, operational support requirements). You influence team priorities and business strategy through data-supported contributions. You are able to make a case for project priorities, resource allocation, and/or appropriate program adoption, to achieve a desired business outcome, resolve a technical deficiency, or unblock delivery.

Job Description
Description
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain - and we're looking for talented people who want to help.
You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
Today, Amazon Web Services provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses in 190 countries around the world. The AWS Cloud infrastructure is built around Regions and Availability Zones (AZs). AWS Regions provide multiple, physically separated and isolated Availability Zones, which are connected with low latency, high throughput, and highly redundant networking. These Availability Zones offer AWS customers an easier and more effective way to design and operate cutting edge AI applications and Machine Learning databases, making them more highly available, fault tolerant, and scalable than traditional single datacenter infrastructures or multi-datacenter infrastructures. How would you like to come be part of the team that builds out that low latency, high throughput, and highly redundant network?
Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated, technically savvy Network Infrastructure Deployment Manager to help develop and scale one of the world's largest and most complex networks. The Deployment Manager (DM) is responsible for managing some of the most technical, cost efficient, and fast paced communication construction project schedules achievable. AWS Deployment Managers are constantly challenged to drive continuous improvement and deliver the highest quality, most technically efficient connectivity solutions in the world.
As a Deployment Manager you will be a part of highly creative, efficient team tasked with tackling the most fascinating and challenging problems in fiber construction. AWS Deployment Managers are always at the forefront of the network construction industry in terms of innovation, and maintain a focus to deliver the most innovative products to our customers. Our networks are industry leading in terms of capacity and cost effectiveness. The DM is ultimately responsible for end to end network delivery and management of the contractors. The DM will also be utilized as a leader in their specific discipline (construction management, fiber splicing, OSP Design, ISP Construction or system installation/commissioning) and be responsible as a team member for delivering some of the most complex networks in the world.
Key job responsibilities
- Interface with key internal stakeholders to understand the technical requirements and ensure the completed project meets these requirements.
- Responsible for completing assigned project coordination tasks accurately and within specified timelines
- Follow established processes, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent and high-quality task execution
- Collaborate with local teams in proposed regions to facilitate task completion
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date time tracking records and provide timely and accurate reporting to the Program Manager
- Ensure availability during working hours of each proposed region to provide effective coordination and support
- Project management of construction related activities and DWDM network rollout for new builds or general capital projects. This will include the ownership of the project scope, timeline, and budget;
- Ensure that the construction, fiber and optical network adheres to the defined standards;
- Perform quality audits and ensure issues are remediated;
- Understand the metro fiber market segments, customer base, and industry verticals;
- Drive scaling designs to meet the demand of our customers;
- Interface with data center providers to drive equipment and circuit installations;
- Create detailed network planning packs to build scalable and future proof infrastructure;
- Ingest as-built data into GIS system;
- Program management, risk mitigation and reporting status reviews to management and internal customers.
- Participate in knowledge sharing, contribute to process improvements, and maintain a strong focus on quality and compliance
- Ability to work across multiple time zones;
- Willing to travel 25-50% of the time.
