**What you need to know about this position:** The ServiceNow Solution Architect will be responsible for the enterprise-wide technical architecture, platform capabilities, and will drive standardization and best practices across the ServiceNow ecosystem. The Infrastructure Engineering team is responsible for building and maintaining a self-service internal development platform that enables MongoDB engineering teams to reliably deploy and operate their own production services and products. **Position Expectations**

Overview
In managing Mastercard's Commercial and New Payment Flow databases the Senior Platform Engineer must be highly experienced in database backup and recovery, performance tuning, and high availability configuration. Database technologies include (but are not limited to): Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL (added advantage).

The ideal candidate for this position should:
- Have strong experience in working with RDBMS and NoSQL database technologies as a DBA.
- Have strong experience in configuring, patching, upgrading, and optimizing database software and related products.
- Have strong experience in security, backup/recovery, architecture, networking, and administration for database disciplines.
- Participate and/or assist the team in the development, maintenance, testing, implementation, and support of assigned database technologies and associated software products.
- Proactively monitor and troubleshoot database issues escalated by the business team and internal monitoring in a timely manner with strong skills to drive to root cause and remediation of issues.
- Understand database security topics including database users, roles, and privileges.
Have understanding of cloud concepts including database administration activities in cloud solutions a plus.
