Essential Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products
- Takes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code
- Consistently creates optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs
- Performs analysis on failures, propose design changes, and encourage operational improvements
- Makes sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefront
- Takes feedback from code review and apply changes to meet standards
- Conducts code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures
- Accountable for ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices
- Exhibits relentless focus in software reliability engineering standards embedded into development standards
- Embraces emerging technology opportunities and contributes to the best practices in support of the bank's technology transformation
- Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement
- Reviews tasks critically and ensures they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery; anticipates and communicates blockers and delays before they require escalation
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience- Two to three years of relevant experiencePreferred Skills/Experience- Adept with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles- Good understanding of algorithms and data structures- Ability to communicate processes and results with all parties involved in the product team, including engineers, product owner, scrum master, third party vendors and customers- Effective problem-solving and analytical skills
+ Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience **Primary Preferred Skills/Experience**
+ Four to Five years' experience with Pega Infinity 8.x greater and supporting frameworks (CPM; Collections)
+ Pega certified system architect (CSA) or higher strongly preferred
+ Experience in DevOps CI/CD pipeline and cloud
+ Object-oriented programming background (java or .NET)
+ Tomcat and IBM WebSphere admin and tuning
+ Web Services / WSDL / SOAP / JMS, preferably via Tibco middleware, Rest, and GraphQL
+ Database connectivity, preferably exposure to IBM UDB 10.X or greater and PostGreSQL DB experience.
+ Experience with AWS telephony integration including IVR, Screen-Pop, chat and softphone.
+ Experience working in Agile methodology
**Secondary Preferred Skills/Experience**
+ Demonstrated experience in developing and integrating complex software solutions in the financial services industry, credit card and collections system experience a plus
+ Pega Customer Decision Hub experience.
+ Exposure to event-driven architecture (Kafka, streaming integrations)
+ Experience in cloud-native deployments (AWS/Azure/PegaCloud) and modernization initiatives
Experience in DevOps CI/CD pipeline and integration with Pega Deployment Mgr, containerized deployments and Ansible scripting

**Key Responsibilities**
+ Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain customer communication templates and correspondence systems supporting multiple U.S. Bank business lines
+ Serve as a senior owner of template‑driven solutions, ensuring high quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance in customer communications
+ Support new product launches, enhancements, and regulatory updates impacting customer correspondence
+ Work hands‑on with customer communication management (CCM) platforms to implement and maintain complex correspondence logic
+ Manage the full end‑to‑end development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, regression validation, deployment, and production support
+ Perform root‑cause analysis on production issues and proactively recommend design or process improvements
+ Apply architectural best practices with consideration for scalability, performance, reliability, and downstream impacts
+ Take a lead role in code reviews, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, security practices, and compliance requirements
+ Collaborate closely with business partners to translate regulatory and business requirements into effective technical solutions
+ Communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, adjusting messaging based on audience
+ Act as a mentor and technical resource for less experienced engineers and contractors
+ Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, including tooling, documentation, and development practices
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
+ Significant professional experience as a software engineer in an enterprise environment
+ Hands‑on experience designing, developing, and maintaining customer communication templates or correspondence systems (letters, statements, notices, or similar)
+ Strong experience working with structured data formats such as JSON, XML, CSV (comma‑delimited), and fixed‑width data
+ Experience owning work through the full development lifecycle, including production support
+ Proven experience using Git‑based CI/CD pipelines for deployment and release management
+ Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and root‑cause analysis skills
+ Ability to operate independently and deliver high‑quality work in a regulated environment
