As a Senior Software Engineer, you will take on a crucial role in shaping innovative software solutions that align with industry-leading standards and best practices. Join our dynamic development team as a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer and take your career to the next level. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining system functionality and work on both back-end .NET and front-end HTML / React using C# and JavaScript programming languages.

Demonstrate expertise in the complete software development life cycle (SDLC) from initial planning to maintenance, ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Finally, you will contribute thoughts positively within the Agile development team and demonstrate an enthusiastic ‘can-do’ attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong technical expertise in Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8+, ASP.NET Core 6+, C#, Web API, with solid understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
  • Experienced in designing and building scalable, secure, and high-performing SaaS applications using modern software engineering principles and architectural patterns.
  •  Hands-on proficiency in SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, and RabbitMQ, with working knowledge of distributed systems and eventual consistency.
  •  Familiar with key design patterns, domain-driven design (DDD) concepts, and clean code principles to deliver maintainable and extensible software.
  •  Exposure to Docker, containerized deployments, and DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines for efficient release cycles.
  •  Practical experience working in Agile/Scrum teams using tools like Jira, with active participation in code reviews, unit testing, and technical documentation.
  •  Be adept at navigating both frontend technologies (React) and backend services, facilitating full-stack contributions with a solid appreciation for user-facing performance and usability.
  • Contribute towards the defining and developing a Sprint backlog to achieve the goals set out by our Product team.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix software defects.
  • Provide unit tests to support and validate for any development work undertaken.
  • Contribute to the Development Team’s working practices and technology decisions.
  • Create necessary documentation relating to work produced.
  • Cultivate and mentor fellow development team members, fostering their technical skillsets and career growth.

Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Software Development role is essential, with strong expertise in core technologies such as Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8+, ASP.NET Core 6+, C#, Web API, and MongoDB.
  • Proven ability to deliver technical design within an enterprise application using Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8+, ASP.NET Core 6+, C#, Web API, with solid understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
  • Hands-on proficiency in SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, and RabbitMQ, with working knowledge of distributed systems and eventual consistency.
  • Proven experience in web application front-end development utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery; familiarity with React will be highly regarded.
  • A proven ability to deliver technical features within an enterprise application.
  • Experience using Source Control, preferably Git.
  • Basic understanding of UX / Design.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, in English.
  • Experience writing backend and front-end unit tests is preferred.
  • Understanding of Agile software development methodologies/frameworks such as Scrum
  • Database development experience preferably in MS SQL Server
  • MongoDB exposure is an added advantage
  • Knowledge using CI/CD tools specifically Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker, TeamCity, Octopus or Chef
  • Ability to communicate effectively with different kinds of audience e.g., presenting a technical solution with developers, or highlighting pros/cons of an architectural design to the management team

We're looking for a passionate Principal Mobile Engineer to lead the development of innovative mobile applications and inspire a development team, fostering a collaborative environment that thrives on open communication and creativity.

You are familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary planning, defining requirements, designing, and prototyping, building, documenting, testing, deploying, to finally maintaining the software. You set a standard for others to follow by actively participating in the growth of individuals and processes through hands-on involvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive the implementation of exciting new features across Ideagen's Mobile Products utilizing cutting-edge iOS and Android development languages, including Objective-C, Swift, Java, and Kotlin.
  • Work directly with the Software Engineering Manager, Mobile and Test Engineers, and other Team Leaders to build cloud hosted and/or on-premises enterprise solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Managers, Technical Product Owners, Development Engineers, Test Engineers, and Infrastructure Engineers to ensure features are delivered to a high standard.
  • Join forces with the UX & Design Team to craft exceptional user experiences that delight and engage our customers.
  • Work within the software development lifecycle to guarantee that products are released according to a predetermined roadmap and within the established release cycles.
  • Report on the progress of active projects and highlight any areas of risk against timelines that may affect the ability to deliver the product roadmap.
  • Contribute to the Engineering Team’s working practices and technology decisions.
  • Contribute towards the definition and development of a Sprint backlog to achieve the goals set out by our Product team.
  • Create necessary documentation relating to work produced.
  • Be an advocate of the Agile development practices of the function and work collaboratively with the development team and Scrum Masters to refine processes.
  • Review team performance regularly and understand the team’s data and workflow and collaborate with them on improvement initiatives.
  • Review the performance of individual team members and provide timely and effective feedback for improvement.
Skills and Experience:
  • At least 10 years’ experience in a Mobile Development is preferred.
  • Mobile application front-end development experience in Objective-C, Swift, Java and Kotlin.
  • Mobile application front-end development experience/knowledge in React-Native, Xamarin and Cordova is a plus.
  • Proven ability to guiding the team in delivering technical design within an enterprise application using Mobile App development languages.
  • Experience/Knowledge in Cloud preferably AWS.
  • Experience in Agile software development methodologies/frameworks such as Scrum.
  • Experience delivering reliable DevOps solutions, continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  • Working knowledge using distributed version-control system such as Git.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills in English, capable of engaging diverse audiences effectively.
  • Adequate experience in managing change effectively. • Able to resolve conflicts and disagreements effectively.
  • Ability to advise on best practices (architecture, testing, web application security, implementation, team dynamics, etc.).
