Main Purpose
- Design of Electromechanical Relays or similar LV components for high integrity/ safety critical functions onboard rollingstock.
- Hardware design / PCB design concepts and layout for electromechanical relay control
Responsibilities
- Circuit design/board design concepts based on product requirement
- Develop schematics, layout, perform power and signal integrity analysis &
Simulation.
- Design calculations, worst case calculations, component selection, alternate
part search and documentation
- Requirement analysis, developing technical specifications & proposing design
concepts / prototypes to meet the requirements, selecting the optimum solution
for detailed design engineering.
- Knowledge to resolve EMI/EMC issues and thermal issues related to PCB
- Detailed design engineering design including DFMEA, engineering calculations,
materials selection, verification & validation, manufacturability & serviceability
study while meeting the project schedule & performance requirements.
- Responsible for writing component design specifications, component purchase specification, design guides & templates.
- Responsible for writing validation plans, manufacturing/assembly/service
instructions.
- Responsible for technical review of product specification to ensure compliance to set requirements.
- Responsible for project metrics related to design reviews, design quality,
schedule and cost

understanding of product development and successful problem definition,
decomposition, estimation and resolution.
- Work cross-functionally with global engineering teams, systems engineering,
program managers, technology leaders and downstream operations and
support teams to ensure on-time execution with on-target quality and cost of
programs.
- Ensure the Product Development projects meet overall budget, operational and
quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications /Professional Experience
- Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Electrical / Electronic / or in "STEM" Majors
(Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in the design of electromechanical relays ideally in Railway but could be automotive, aerospace or other similar
industry.
Competencies Professional /Personal
- Design of electromechanical relays / electromagnetic devices.
- Electrical design including circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout /
harness design
- Electrical design using AutoCAD Electrical, Altair or similar tools.
- Design for RAMS . Reliability / MTBF assessments, Design FMEA, Process
FMEA, Functional Failure Analysis . Experience of working to EN61508 /
EN50126
- Design of injection molded enclosures / covers.
- Design for automated manufacture.
- Design for additive manufacture.
- Knowledge of materials sciences including magnetics.
- Experience using electronic design and PLM tools such as Teamcenter for
document control, drawing control, requirements management and engineering
change control.
- Proven experience in delivering high quality product designs with
comprehensive understanding of project management principles.
- Sound understanding of the product design process including testing and
validation.
- Strong influencing skills, strong communication skills with good command of
English, and demonstrated analytical skills.

Burns & McDonnell India (BMI) T&D Pipelines is looking for dynamic and self-motivated Senior Piping Engineer to support our T&D Pipeline Engineering and Design Team in the Mumbai/Bangalore Office. T&D Pipeline offers depth and breadth of experience in cross-country pipeline projects, RNG's, M&R Stations, casing replacements, compressor stations etc., which covers a wide range of design and project execution experiences.
This position will be responsible for performing engineering and consulting services for clients across the US. Main responsibilities include piping design engineering of pipeline facility design deliverables. Projects range in size and complexity from small utility regulator station upgrades to large metering and regulation or compressor station projects.
The following are some specific duties & responsibilities:
·Working as piping design engineer of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
·Carry out various piping activities and prepare piping deliverables.
·Preparation and review of engineering deliverables such as piping and valve material specifications, valve datasheet, paint specifications, insulations specifications, piping specials specifications, valve list, line list, piping general arrangement drawings, piping spool drawings. Basic knowledge on flexibility analysis.
·Planning and preparing piping layouts to analyze the space requirement, road access, maintenance space, equipment spacing, pipe rack requirement, support and flexibility requirements, and safety standards.
·Hand-on experience on piping modelling software such as CADWorx, Plant 3D & E3D
·Review of 3D Model, clash checks and its resolution

·Use Smart P&ID (Plant-3D) to perform engineering tasks and extract lists

**Qualifications**
**Required Skills / Experience:**
·Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (EXTC)
·5-8 years of experience in telecommunication engineering.
·Experience, certifications, or formal education in fiber optic products, design/routing, and provisioning.
·Utility experience would be an added advantage. Should have handled the upgradation projects for the utilities in design, testing or commissioning activity.
·Microsoft Visio, Excel, Word and GIS (ESRI/AEGIS/ArcGIS) Experience
·Strong communication skills,

Burns & McDonnell India (BMI) Power Division is looking for a well-rounded and driven Electrical Engineer in the Mumbai & Bengaluru Office. The Power Division focuses on power generating facilities which offer a wide range of design and project execution experiences. Designs include the electrical interconnect to the bulk power grid and all associated power generating facility auxiliary power equipment. Equipment includes rotating machines, such as generators and motors, large power transformers, generator circuit breakers, isolated phase bus duct, non segregated phase bus duct, switchgear, motor control centers, small power transformers, and variable frequency drives. The wide range of projects provide opportunities on both multi discipline and electrical only projects. Multidisciplined power generation projects require engineers to work in a diverse project team environment and exhibit the ability to develop consensus in identifying the optimum solution to complex problems. These complex assignments require the application of advanced techniques, resulting in the development of new or improved processes, equipment and/or technological methods. Position will require extensive interface with equipment suppliers/vendors, and with Burns & McDonnell project managers, other engineering disciplines, modelers, designers, and detailers locally in the Mumbai office as well as remotely in various offices in the United States.
For an Electrical Engineer, following are some specific duties & responsibilities:
+ Coordinating project design assignments and design teams;
+ Assist/develop Electrical system modeling including grounding, load flow, short-circuit, and arc-flash analysis
+ Assist/develop protective relay settings, calculations, and coordination studies
+ Assist/develop scope of work documents, conceptual design, and execution plans
+ Assist/develop equipment specifications, procurement packages, reviewing vendor drawings and factory acceptance testing electrical equipment
+ Assist/develop electrical deliverables like one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, interconnection drawings, equipment layouts, cable schedules, panel schedules, power, grounding and lighting layouts for constructing/installation of new or modifications of existing power generating facility electrical systems
+ Regularly meeting and corresponding with clients or outside personnel.
+ Travel to the United States as required and requested to support assignments on projects and overall office needs.
**Qualifications**
Work experience which demonstrates quick learning and ability to adapt to new processes and workflows. Has experience working in teams and collaborating with Engineers and Designers for developing detailed Electrical Engineering design deliverables. This position requires an individual capable of applying Engineering and analytical skills to broad areas of assignments. Must be capable of interpreting and developing solutions to assigned problems. Preferred skills and qualifications are:
1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from accredited program.
2. Minimum 2-10 years of related experience.
3. Experience in power generating facilities, process facilities, and/or large industrial facilities including the following design types, is strongly preferred: medium voltage, low voltage, lighting, grounding, electrical equipment control, protective relaying and associated systems design and construction administration.
4. Software experience utilizing SKM Power Tools, ETAP, SmartPlant, SmartPlant
5. Electrical, CDEGS or similar software is preferred.
6. Excellent written & verbal communications as well as strong analytical & problem solving skills are required.
7. Previous consulting engineering experience preferred.
