About the Role
Global Subsurface Solutions (GSS) delivers high-quality, high impact, subsurface technical products to address prioritized business challenges across bp’s oil, gas, and low carbon businesses.
As a Reservoir engineer you will be responsible for utilizing broad reservoir engineering experience to inform reserves estimation, resources progression and the appropriate reservoir management activities and/or Carbon storage plans are implemented.
You will have the opportunity to work across BP global portfolio on projects as diverse as early field development offshore West Africa, large-scale waterflood developments in the Caspian Sea and Middle East and global screening and development of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) fields. You will be responsible for supporting region decisions on reserves estimation, reservoir management, and production forecasting.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the regions across the globe, utilising broad classical reservoir engineering methods to properly analyse and integrate wells and reservoir data into the team’s current understanding.
Conduct classical reservoir engineering analyses, integrating rate and pressure transient analysis, material balance, decline curve and volumetric analyses into reservoir evaluation and reserves estimation
Provide sound Reservoir Engineering technical analysis, judgement, and guidance to support identification, evaluation, and progression of value-generating resources
Provide technical support and guidance in delivery of projects and progression of resources
Apply reservoir engineering concepts to understand and optimize the production and recovery, Including Rock and fluid properties, relative permeability, and depletion mechanisms
Promote hydrocarbon resources progression by assessing surveillance and analogue data, development activities and materiality, and working across multi-disciplines to provide input and justification for reserves/resources estimation and reporting, following company’s guidelines
Must have educational qualifications:
Bsc / Msc degree in Petroleum/ Reservoir Engineering or related applied science engineering
Must have experiences/skills:
Have a strong understanding of reservoir analysis fundamentals such as pressure transient analysis, decline curve analysis and material balance.
Good industry track record as Reservoir Engineer. Relevant classical reservoir engineering experience in Reservoir Management, Reservoir Performance, and Analytical Reservoir Engineering workflows.
Experience with classical RE toolkits (e.g. PETEX IPM, Kappa (Saphir))
Skillful communication and influencing skills, with track record of sharing learnings
Able to manage multiple activities and quickly respond to changing business priorities
Able to cope with short-term deadlines and flexible prioritization acting as a squad member as required
Minimum years of relevant experience:
4 to 12 years’ experience as Reservoir Engineer, with experience in classical reservoir engineering and reserves estimation
Good to have experiences/skills:
Basic knowledge of CCUS subsurface workflow
Numerical Reservoir simulation.

These GSS squads typically consist of 5-10 multi-disciplinary technical members in several locations and are deployed based on global subsurface business prioritisation.

About the Role
As a Reservoir engineer in the Reservoir Management Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work across BP global portfolio on projects as diverse as early field development offshore West Africa, large-scale waterflood developments in the Caspian Sea and Middle East.

Understand region needs and translate those needs into building the most appropriate tools
Support model framing and fitness sessions as well as assist in technical validation of simulation models
Support review and assessment of readiness of Integrated Subsurface Descriptions and Reservoir Performance Prediction (ISD/RPP) inputs at the start of a modelling effort
Must have educational qualifications:

Must have educational qualifications :

Statutory: Support the FP&A manager on the LRA (letter of representation), SEA (stock exchange announcement), ARA (annual reports and accounts), ESG (environment social and governance) and Statutory accountings process.
Financial analysis: Provide variance analysis on actuals reporting in line with group financial reporting instructions and QAR (quarterly analytical review) requirements.

Main Purpose: The Global Tax function has launched the Future of Tax (FOT) transformation project under the Digital Finance umbrella. As part of the Future of Tax project, compliance work related to direct tax, indirect tax, withholding tax and transfer pricing will be done by Commercial Experience team, under a new target Operating Model (TOM). The new TOM will involve tax process to be performed across Global Tax team, Country Tax Team, UniOps and 3rd party consultant (Big 4s).UniOps team's vision is to build an externally benchmarked, world class Tax Data COE which delivers End to End high-quality, accurate financial information for effective decision making and meeting regulatory requirements.Guiding Principles:- Drive value by freeing up space within Tax (through effective partnering) to focus on strategy- Global, standardized, simplified and efficient tax process model- Flexible, agile and Future Fit sustainable operations- Ownership mindset with passion for high performanceKey Requirements:- Computation of VAT, WHT and preparation of Returns.- Rule based calculations related to CIT tax provision, advance tax and quarterlygroup reporting- End to end Management of Tax data with focus on hygiene of master data andtransactional data- Analysis of tax data, trends spot discrepancies- Strong understanding of underlying accounting entries related to tax- Ensure tax related payments happen to government / tax authorities as per thetimelines in respective countries.- Ensure tax related controls and compliance are met as per the Unilever controlframework- Closely work with Unilever global tax teams & Outsourced Service Providersregarding latest changes/amendments in various tax laws across the globe.- Provide documentation / data support on the audit queries raised with analysisperformed- Archiving of documents of all the direct tax related activities from data extraction till filings in company dedicated folders as per ITGC & audit requirements.- Provide clarification on the tax data provided to relevant stakeholders.- Support in country tax audits by providing adequate documentation / datasupport/analysis of data- Ensure that all agreed KPIs in the tax process are met- Drive continuous improvement, provide recommendations for a best in classprocess for direct/indirect tax- Deploy tools and technology to drive process efficienciesTechnical Skills:- Strong Knowledge of accounting- Overview of Direct Tax/Indirect tax/Withholding Tax/ Transfer Pricing- End user knowledge of SAP (FI module).- Awareness about Power BI, Tableau and Workflow management tools would bean added advantage.- Proficient at collecting / querying / consolidating information from accounting /ERP systems.Soft Skills:- Good in verbal and written communications.- Should have a positive attitude and should be able to proactively get things done.- Strong problem solving, and analytical skills- Good interpersonal Skills - Must have the ability to effectively communicate withpersonnel at all levels inside and outside of the company.- Must be a self-starter with proven ability to take ownership of job responsibilities.Educational Qualifications:- Qualified Accountant (CA/CMA)s with 4-5 years of experience- Work experience in Accounting (R2R) and Finance or Direct Tax/Indirect TaxKey Interfaces:Global Tax TeamCountry Tax TeamCountry Finance TeamOutsourced Service Provide (Big 4))Central R2R/P2P/O2C teams IT team
