Let me tell you about the role The role acts as a central resource for safe, reliable and compliant closure of HAZOP/LOPA recommendations created by bp’s centralized HAZOP/LOPA Revalidation program. What you will deliver
Performance management of assigned HAZOP/LOPA recommendation items and their associated path to closure
Apply a wide range of process and process safety engineering techniques to continuously reduce risk at bp’s operations in Production and Refining
Create lessons learned and apply best practices for identifying risk scenarios and interface with the central HAZOP/LOPA delivery team to incorporate those learnings proactively What you will need to be successful Must have educational qualifications:

The Senior Process Safety Engineer will join the Projects India organisation in the engineering and quality team to provide engineering expertise, oversight, judgment and support to Production & Operations (P&O) Projects.
The role is based at the Pune office but will require significant contractor facing work at major engineering contractor office locations in both India and possibly ex-India.
What you will deliver
Support the development of the technical scope of project options to ensure selection and progression of safe, competitive and robust projects
Be responsible for Process Safety engineering activity on the projects in support of an Inherently Safer Design (ISD) and application of specific safety features developed during the project phases
Provide technical guidance and advice to the Project team; support technical and engineering scope development and decision making with process safety impacts
Develop and implement Process Safety Philosophy for projects in cooperation with the contractors
Develop and implement the Design Hazard Management Plan for projects
Manage the delivery of Process Safety deliverables; provide verification of key process safety deliverables by engineering contractors in terms of quality and conformance with project requirements; provide oversight of performance of contractor for process safety scope
Prescribe appropriate BP approved design methods and procedures, support preparation and participate in key areas such as HAZOP, LOPA, HAZID and environmental reviews where necessary; assist project teams in application
Consult with project team, Technical Authorities and functional specialists as appropriate on key issues of risk, engineering integrity, project specifications and significant issues of potential exceptions/non-compliance
Maintain knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations relevant to process systems and process safety; ensure deviations from BP standards, project specifications and processes are identified, justified and deviations processed in accordance with appropriate procedures
Engage and manage process safety functional support and third-party consultants as necessary to support assurance and design
Support process safety capability and competence through the active mentoring, coaching and training of other process safety engineers.
What you will need to be successful
Must have educational qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
Preferred education/certifications:
Chartered Engineer or Registered Professional Engineer
Minimum years of relevant experience:
Minimum 12+ years in oil and gas/petrochemical/ refining/ chemical or equivalent, with minimum 5 years’ experience of leading process safety and HSSE in design engineering work in Major Capital projects.
Must have experiences/skills (To be hired with):
Experience in design safety in Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Design stages of major projects
Experience in the oil and gas industry
Experience working in a discipline leadership role, managing engineering contractor performance
Experience in the technical safety system design such as firewater, lifesaving equipment selection, and fire and gas detector layout and mapping
Experience with process safety modelling, application and result interpretation of results for use by design teams (e.g. fire hazard assessment, dispersion modelling, quantitative risk assessment)
Knowledge of stage gated project processes
Knowledge of engineering practices and codes and standards
Good understanding of incorporating inherently safer design principles into design
Track record of consistent delivery and able to demonstrate effective project technical management and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and influence with all levels of the project team, engineering contractors and project leadership
Demonstrated ability to foster effective teamwork across multiple locations, teams, and other engineering disciplines

Flow assurance team provides subsea flow assurance engineering expertise and judgement in support of engineering risk, integrity management and the delivery of safe, compliant and efficient operations.
What you will deliver
Lead multiphase flow and flow assurance analysis within an operational or project support context, understand the relationship between such work and key flow assurance decisions, and influence others to achieve desired objectives to mitigate flow assurance risks.

- Provides timely updates to Inspection Data Specialist on inspections and repairs scopes and ensures accuracy of the data including QA/QC, timely application of engineered solutions and documentations.
- Leading & participating pipeline integrity & improvement activities around the world
- Provide pipeline engineering expertise as the Equipment Owner for the pipeline related equipment & System Owner for any transportation systems as assigned by region.
- Region / global pipeline related Domain Expert as assigned by the Pipeline Field Lead support all regions in areas of expertise when requested.
- Integrate with associated fields to ensure adequate equipment care, including maintenance & engineering, corrosion, flow assurance, production chemistry, pressure systems integrity, process safety & structural & civil engineering.
- Ensure pragmatic solutions are identified to manage risk, production efficiency, defect elimination & standardization, to deliver safe, reliable & compliant operations.
- Own & maintain the documents & data for the assigned equipment.
- Own & maintain the risk assessment for the assigned equipment ensuring that the identified threats reflect current operations & use this to define, implement & support delivery of Equipment Strategies by the relevant Execution Owner. Assess anomalies, initiate further actions & follow up to closure.
- Prepare, review & endorse pipeline-related metrics (e.g. barrier health, pipeline integrity dashboard & LOPC data) & take action where appropriate.
- Pipeline support to incident investigations & the learning process.
- Technical management of subsea contractors (e.g. subsea engineering contractors).
- Technical expertise in several areas related to the team applied to Operations. These include risk assessment, risk-based inspection, pipeline engineering assessments, fitness for service, failure investigation, pipeline inspection & monitoring, corrosion, pipeline repair & pipeline geospatial data management.
- Proven track record in practical application of engineering standards & practices for pipeline engineering.
- People leadership & an ability to network & influence across organizational boundaries.
- Support the delivery & maintenance of digital tools to progress continuous improvement of global pipeline support (data gathering & data analysis, equipment dashboards, risk analysis tools, database management, data visualization).

About the Role
As a Reservoir engineer in the Reservoir Management Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work across BP global portfolio on projects as diverse as early field development offshore West Africa, large-scale waterflood developments in the Caspian Sea and Middle East.
You will be responsible for supporting reservoir engineers within Global Subsurface Solutions unit build and use simulation models which, in turn, support region decisions on major projects, infill wells, reservoir management and production forecasting.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Global modelling team, utilising broad reservoir experience and classical reservoir engineering methods to analyse and integrate wells and reservoir data into the team’s current understanding.
Support Simulation Engineers in building, updating and coaching others to use reservoir simulation models and ensembles in collaboration with RPP&RM geoscientists, geomodellers, petrophysicists and petroleum engineers
Understand and keep the business context and geological realities in mind throughout the modelling process
Understand region needs and translate those needs into building the most appropriate tools
Support model framing and fitness sessions as well as assist in technical validation of simulation models
Support review and assessment of readiness of Integrated Subsurface Descriptions and Reservoir Performance Prediction (ISD/RPP) inputs at the start of a modelling effort
Must have educational qualifications:
Bsc / Msc degree in Petroleum/ Reservoir Engineering or related applied science engineering

Skillful reservoir simulation competency level, including deep knowledge of the inputs, outputs, benefits and limitations of reservoir simulation software

Role Synopsis: The Senior Subsea Pipelines and Flowlines Engineer will join the Projects India organisation in the engineering and quality team to provide deep subsea pipeline and flowline engineering expertise, oversight, judgment and support to Production & Operations (P&O) Projects. The role is based at the Pune office but will require contractor facing work at major engineering contractor office locations in both India and possibly ex-India.
What you will deliver
Lead subsea pipeline and flowline engineering scope to deliver safe design of cost effective, quality and competitive projects.
Complete self-verification and oversight activities to lead the delivery of the subsea pipeline and flowline engineering scope in accordance with project objectives.
Provide technical guidance, review and approval of subsea pipeline and flowline engineering design contractor work.
Lead delivery of specific engineering activities for the subsea pipeline and flowline scope. Owner of key subsea pipeline and flowline engineering results throughout the project lifecycle and handover to operations.
Provide leadership in addressing subsea pipeline and flowline design challenges issues with considerations of safety, integrity, quality, cost and schedule.
Collaborate with other engineering subject areas, construction, commissioning and operations teams to deliver competitive and conformant pipeline and flowline design.
Apply bp’s Engineering Practices wisely and pragmatically and make technical decisions on requests for exceptions/deviations to specifications or standards.
Lead delivery of project pipeline integrity management activities to identify operational risks and define and deliver risk barriers to enable integrity to be managed during operations.
Record and share relevant findings to improve bp practice
