75% Case Management / 25% Performance Management
Triage business requests for bpSolutions Engineering support. Responsible to:
Develop, deploy and maintain effective work processes and tools to receive, prioritize and respond to resource requests for bp Solutions Engineering
Collaborate with other businesses, integrators and enablers to achieve seamless case management experience for our customers
Develop and maintain training materials and deliver training to internal and external customers on the use of the bp Solutions engineering resource management processes and case management tools
Provision of planning and integration expertise in service of the bpS engineering team and our business partners to ensure
work is effectively prioritized in view of business needs
there is full transparency of status, plans, cost, value, risks and highlights for engineers as well as senior leaders
there is full alignment with the financial planning & reporting processes
What you will deliver
Fast, efficient, on-time support to business requests
Maintain high customer satisfaction levels for subject matter experts supporting the businesses
Supporting & coaching of engineers and senior leaders in application of the case management, planning, performance and integration tools using agile principles
Support senior leaders in preparation of performance reviews
Continuously optimize planning & reporting tools to improve efficiency, effectiveness and alignment with the business and other functions
Alignment of planning & performance cadence with businesses, bpS and other functions. Utilize agile principles to maximize the alignment of resources to priorities
What you will need to be successful
Must have educational qualifications:
Degree in an engineering discipline
Minimum years of relevant experience:
7 years in oil and gas/petrochemical or equivalent oil and gas, petrochemical, refining and chemical industry with 3 or more years in Production

What you will deliver
Provide field instrumentation, control valves, metering & analysis, fire & gas, control and safety systems knowledge for design and delivery of safe, cost effective, Quality and competitive Projects.
Support, oversee and performance manage the Project I&C Engineering Team and Engineering Contractor(s) to deliver I&C engineering scopes, including:
Provide technical oversight, review, and approval of I&C design engineering contractor deliverables.
Provide requirements for I&C equipment specification in requisitions/datasheets and selection as well as engineering package technical content.
Review technical bid analysis for instrumentation and control systems.
Contribute and coordinate project Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Fire and Gas work scopes.
Provide technical evaluation of requests for exceptions/deviations to specifications or standards.
Check digital security requirements are embedded and delivered.
Highlight risks to project delivery and ensure adequate risk mitigation plans are in place
Work with engineering contractor(s) to verify they are performing required activities in line with project schedules, and assist bp’s Engineering Manager in contract performance management
Verify that Engineering Contractor(s) apply bp’s Engineering Practices and industry standards in engineering designs
Verify quality and consistency in I&C equipment delivery on projects
Review of Vendor Inspection and Test Plans, documents and drawings o Assist in preparation of factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance test (SAT) plans
Record and share relevant learnings
Support resolution of complex technical I&C challenges.
Provide ICE inputs in hazard identification and risk assessment processes, such as HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA
Support other engineers in the I&C subject area engineering team to deliver instrumentation, controls scope through mentoring, coaching and peer reviews.
Coach earlier career engineers to aid in their technical and professional development.

Let me tell you about the role
The role is primarily focused on providing technical support on valves, piping and other static mechanical equipment to the Global Facilities Hardware Team. Ensure standardized specifications and requirements aligned with industry norms and key BP learnings are available, maintained and consistently applied.
This role includes working with projects and operations on the implementation of the standard valve specifications and datasheets and providing technical input on behalf of the Valve Global Product Team. Will provide support to projects with completing call offs and ensuring the right standardization activity is completed with respect to valves. It will also be required to support further improvement and development of the valve procurement strategy and associated technical and quality requirements.
The role also involves supporting investigations of valve problems, providing recommendations for improvements regarding valve selection, design, manufacture, fabrication, operation and maintenance and assess valve related anomalies when needed.

Role Synopsis: Quality Engineer (QE) is a core role in Project’s organisation, accountable for establishing and management of Project Quality Management System in support of successful delivery of the Project. The QE will be expected to support some of our more strategic and complex projects, many with significant greenfield and brownfield scopes.
The QE is expected to model the BP Leadership Expectations, Who We Are and Mindsets necessary to deliver the business objectives in support of bp’s strategy and the P&O-projects priority of safe design and quality build.

Projects Quality Management
Support development and implementation of a structured QMS for the Projects in conformance with BP’s Major Project Quality Management Defined Practice.
Provide Quality inputs to Execution Planning Documentation (Project Execution Plan, Engineering Plan, Contracting Strategy, Construction Plan, etc.)
Support delivery of the Quality Program throughout the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases of the project.
Support development and delivery of pre-FEED, FEED and execute scopes and any following engineering scopes of work.
Accountable for embedding Right First Time (R1T) and developing R1T Strategy in conducive to the project phase.
Support Project contracting strategy with identifying and leading supply chain quality risks.

Review and endorse contractor Quality Plans / Procedures; Inspection and Test Plans, and other Quality deliverables to support delivery of R1T objectives.
Provide guidance, advice and training to project team, contractors, suppliers, inspectors and third parties as required to ensure understanding of the project quality system and objectives. Supplier Quality Management
Work with business entities (Projects, Operations, Wells), plan and deliver quality element of contractor and supplier qualification and capability assessment process in support of bp Approved Vendor List (AVL).
Work with business entities (Projects, Operations, Wells) to support identification and handling supply chain risks as a part of their contracting strategies and implementing surveillance and oversight programs for suppliers and contractors.
Organizing, planning, and supervision of verification programs directly or via Third Party Inspectors (TPIs) to ensure conformance with the applicable company specifications and industry codes and standards.
Work with supplier to develop and implement manufacturing quality plans to meet quality management specifications (e.g. ISO 9001, API Q1).
Perform supplier facility surveillance / oversight to ensure design, manufacture, inspection and testing processes meet the requirements.
Performance management of contractor/subcontractor Quality programs including collection, evaluation and reporting of Quality Management critical metrics
Conduct root cause analysis of non-conformances and work with suppliers to drive implementation of associated corrective actions.
Develop quality questionnaires and evaluate supplier responses during RFPs.
Responsible for supporting the project leader in deploying Right-1st-Time (R1T) Program with suppliers and contractor
Responsible for planning and driving supplier quality management activities to mitigate supply chain risks and achieve R1T objectives for procured equipment/material.
Provide guidance, advice and training to inspectors and third parties as required to ensure understanding of the project quality system and objectives.
Develop strong relationships and collaborate with a wide range of functions/businesses that sponsor and support progression of project opportunities.

This role will sit within the Finance FBT organization, in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), specializing in Finance process transformation, ideally with experience of Planning & Performance Management (PPM) process, data and system transformation.
This role supports the FP&A Analytics & Digitization Solution Delivery Lead, who supervises PPM portfolio, digital strategy and implementation, as a key Subject Matter Expert (SME) advising on Process Engineering for PPM processes, systems and data as well as leading delivery.
The incumbent would be potentially required to work under alternative shift arrangements to ensure appropriate overlap hours with Eastern Standard time or Asia Pacific time zones.

- Review PPM business processes so that they can be standardized, improved and streamlined for optimum efficiency in terms of both performance and cost.
