About the role:
- Evaluate software solutions and system performance, as well as supervising the software development team.

**The Team:**
We're building a new engineering team to drive the productization of an exciting and innovative new project. The purpose of this project is to extend Celonis' process observability beyond company boundaries, enabling our customers with the power to share knowledge cross-organization. This will allow companies to share their data with their business partners and augment their own process data, opening up new opportunities for process improvement across value chains involving multiple companies.
**The Role:**
As Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for leading, developing and growing the team of engineers. You are responsible for fostering a collaborative culture and enabling your team to be curious engineers capable of delivering fast paced PoCs, prototypes and entire business solutions. You will work closely with your counterparts in Product Management, Architecture, Ux as well as other engineering teams within Celonis.
You'll be managing the careers of the team members and their performance, and actively fostering successful group dynamics to help the team accomplish their mission. Managers at this level are primarily focused on leading and developing high-performing teams, demonstrating strong people management and leadership capabilities. While a solid understanding of technical concepts is important, the emphasis for this role is on effective team management, fostering collaboration, and driving the team's mission forward. Technical decisions are often delegated to senior engineers, while the manager ensures alignment with overall objectives and facilitates the success of the team
You ensure that your team has a manageable level of technical complexity and that they are working collaboratively with adjacent teams. You also jointly define goals/OKRs with other stakeholders, contributing to larger strategic efforts.

+ Lead the Celonis Network Engineering team in Bangalore to successfully deliver their mission
+ Manage the performance and support the career development of the engineers in your team
+ Build and maintain an engineering culture of trust, ownership, and collaboration within your team Own and drive the process hiring new engineers and growing the career of existing team members
+ Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects and other leads on goals and strategies around people, technology, and processes
+ Advocate for the (whole) team; provide upward and outward visibility of the team and their work.

+ Ensure that necessary decisions are taken and aligned within the engineering team as well as with relevant stakeholders

**The qualifications you need:**
+ 3+ years of experience in an Engineering Manager Track record of successfully delivering large-scale technical projects
+ Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams
+ Strong technical knowledge (5+ years of experience in software development is expected) with overall 10+ years of experience in the Software engineering field
+ Experience in working with Java/JavaScript or TypeScript, Node.js, microservices is a must
+ Working experience in DevOps, Docker and CI/CD concepts and technology
+ Proficiency in establishing and handling agile development methodologies and lean principle/techniques (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Continuous Delivery)
+ Proficiency in project management, relationship building and stakeholder management
+ Strong understanding of at least one the Business Domains that Celonis operates in (Order Management, Procurement, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable) are a plus.
+ Ability to resolve technical conflicts, providing a positive environment for escalations
+ Strong communication skills (English language), allowing you to collaborate smoothly with people across the business and technical domains
