**Optum Finance & Accounting - OGA Controllership Team**
The OGA Controllership Team is a diverse and highly skilled group of 16 finance professionals based across India, the Philippines, Ireland, and the UK. As part of Optum Finance & Accounting, our team plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting for the Optum Global Advantage segment, which spans across 6 Geographies (India, The Philippines, Ireland, Puerto Rico, USA & UK).
We specialize in preparing, reviewing, maintaining, and reconciling general ledger accounting entries for both management and statutory reporting. Our responsibilities also include preparing and reviewing month-end estimates for the Optum Global Advantage Segment.

**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports
+ Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close
+ Prepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles
+ Support audit team in preparing documentation in for external and internal audits
+ Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and interpretation
+ Consolidate and analysis quarterly balance sheets and monthly actual variance reporting
+ Assist with or lead the month end and quarterly end close process for assigned businesses or groups
+ Performs work in a self-directed manner and works with less structured, more complex issues
+ Serve as a resource to other finance function during peak delivery periods
+ Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements
+ Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems
+ Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses
+ Streamline processes by leaning into analytical tools and technology

**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or accreditation with professional Accounting body
+ Proven accounting experience in a multinational multicurrency company
+ Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements
+ High proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with PeopleSoft Financials
+ Power Query

**The Objective:**

**Position Summary:**
This individual will be primarily responsible for:
+ Leading the India Revenue month-end close and related reporting and analysis.
+ Review and post monthly journal entries related to digital business.
+ Ensuring all accounting activity is properly documented and in accordance with SOX controls and internal policy,
+ Performing technical accounting research on ad hoc issues,
+ Documenting and continuously improving sub-processes.
+ Ad hoc travel between India offices or abroad may be required.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Prepare, review, analyze, and/or record Revenue Accounting entries to the general ledger (G/L) for month-end closing. This will include recording of revenue, deferred revenue, CECL (Bad Debts) and complex billing, accounting, and reporting issues.
+ Prepare and ensure all documentation for G/L entries meets company policy and SOX compliance and is properly maintained.
+ Perform digital revenue related balance sheet account reviews and reconciliations.
+ Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure G/L information is accurate, consistent, traceable, and auditable. Ensure all relevant account reconciliations are prepared and reviewed monthly.
+ Assist with internal and external audit work, including coordinating the Revenue Accounting request list and SOX testing with the auditors.
+ Perform accounting research and write accounting memos to document unusual and/or significant accounting transactions and company positions.
+ Participate in national and international projects on DTC.
+ Prepare, edit and update documentation for the India Revenue accounting and compliance process manual.
+ Learn the functionality of the Revenue billing systems, SAP etc and the revenue process.
+ Apply knowledge of the fundamental tasks in order to continuously recommend and implement process improvements.
+ Supporting EMEA and US work, in case and as necessary.
+ Lead cross department meetings, prepare agendas, schedule meetings, document and track action items. Escalate issues as appropriate. Own issues and drive issue resolution.
+ Perform special or routine projects or duties as assigned.
+ Effectively and independently manage deadlines and multiple and conflicting priorities.
+ Prepare info for quarterly SEC reporting templates. Demonstrate full ownership and completion of tasks.
+ Work closely and collaboratively with manager and other teams.
+ Work effectively with the AR team. Help create a culture of open communication and information transparency.
**Requirements:**
+ Qualified Chartered Accountant with 3+ Experience or Master's degree with 5-7 years of accounting and reporting experience.
+ Preferred understanding of US GAAP for revenue recognition.
+ Experience with enterprise information systems, SAP a strong plus and preferred.
+ Digital experience a plus.
+ Knowledge of media / entertainment industry preferred.
+ Superior ability to organize, analyze and concisely present oral and written communication.
+ Experience with international accounting and foreign currency transactions a strong plus.
+ Proficient in MS Office applications, Excel in particular.
+ Proficiency in MS Excel (revenue) data modelling.
+ Experience with SAP (S4 Hanna /RAR will be an advantage).

**What You'll Do**
The EMEA Payroll Processor is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll across multiple countries within the EMEA region. This role ensures compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies. The position involves collaboration with HR, Finance, and third-party payroll vendors to deliver seamless payroll operations.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ **Payroll Processing:**
+ Process monthly payrolls for multiple EMEA countries accurately and on time.
+ Coordinate with local payroll providers, HR, and Finance to ensure all payroll inputs (e.g., new hires, terminations, bonuses, benefits, taxes) are collected and processed.
+ Validate payroll calculations, including statutory deductions, social security, pensions, and other withholdings.
+ **Compliance & Reporting:**
+ Ensure payrolls comply with local employment laws and taxation regulations.
+ Support internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and processes are in place.
+ Generate payroll reports for Finance, HR, and government agencies as required.
+ **Vendor Management:**
+ Act as the primary point of contact for third-party payroll vendors.

+ Ensure the monthly accounts for your assigned country are submitted accurately and on time

The S&P Global Internal Audit function is a global team with auditors located in the U.S., London, India, Tokyo, & Taiwan. The Divisional Technology Audit team is a critical unit of the global audit function and performs audits focusing on S&P Global Technologies (IT Applications and Information Security).

+ Conduct comprehensive security audits, including penetration testing, to identify vulnerabilities across applications, infrastructure, databases, operating systems, and cloud environments.
+ Execute end-to-end audits in alignment with the annual audit plan, ensuring timely completion.
+ Review audit outcomes and results, collaborating with key auditees to agree on remedial action plans and facilitate smooth audit processes.
+ Leverage data analytics and automation to enhance the efficiency and quality of audit execution.
+ Collaborate with key stakeholders within the divisional technology functions to enhance audit effectiveness.
+ Stay informed about best practices in information security audits to ensure continuous improvement.
+ Keep abreast of emerging security threats, trends, and technologies to enhance security posture and refine internal audit processes.
**What We're Looking For:**
+ 5+ years of experience handling several technology audits including web applications. Experience with a Big 4 firm would be an advantage.
+ Experience in conducting penetration testing using tools such as Burp suite, Metasploit, NMAP, Nessus, etc.
+ Exposure to Python programming and awareness of generative AI technologies.
+ Knowledge of risk management frameworks and proficient in carrying out in-depth Applications security including configurations.
+ Strong knowledge of cloud security and best practices for cloud penetration testing.
+ Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, and Tableau is an advantage.
+ Excellent report writing skills
+ Strong written and oral communication, approachable style, and well-developed negotiation and listening skills
+ Demonstrated experience in strong work ethic, initiative, teamwork, and flexibility in meeting department goals.
