**A Day in the Life**
Medtronic is hiring a senior IT MDM Software Development Tester Engineer. As a test engineer, you will be a key member of our IT team, specializing in testing solution in the MDM space, on prem and cloud. Your deep expertise in MDM technologies and hands-on experience in testing aspects will drive the success of our Master Data initiatives and contribute to the overall technological excellence of the organization.
**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.**
**Technical Expertise** :
+ Hands on Experience in crafting, building, and running automated test frameworks in distributed cloud environments such as AWS and GCP, Strong scripting skills
+ Understanding of Software Testing concepts like positive/negative scenarios
+ Java programming knowledge.
+ Experience with BDD Behavior Driven Development and TDD Test Driven Development.
+ Hands on experience in automated testing with Cucumber, Robot or similar.
+ Knowledge of deploying automated tests in a CI/CD environment like Jenkins
+ Performance testing experience
+ Collaborates with Master Domain Owners and Medtronic business partners in developing testing strategy and plan and determine best approaches in solutioning.
+ Collaborates with source systems owners and data stewards and other technical personnel on the Data Governance group to come up with testing scenarios
+ Assists Medtronic team members, vendors, or other customers on testing software and testing best practice
**Solution Implementation** : Develops automated test and execute test plan for both on-prem and SaaS, ensuring they meet technical specifications, quality standards, and adhere to best practices.
**Continuous Improvement:** Lead continuous improvement initiatives, exploring new tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance testing processes, efficiency, and performance.
**Solution Implementation** : Oversee the end-to-end implementation of complex MDM domain solutions, including the data rules, data quality and data transformation processes. Ensure solutions adhere to best practices and architectural documentation and standards.
**Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing:** Provide mentorship and guidance to other members of the team. Promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
**Performance Optimization:** Analyze and optimize testing solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability. Identify and address potential bottlenecks and recommend appropriate solutions.
**Documentation and Knowledge Management:** Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including test strategy, test plan, test scenarios, test procedures, test result
**Innovation:** Stay abreast of emerging technologies, integration trends, and industry developments. Explore and recommend innovative solutions to improve integration processes, efficiency, and overall system performance.
**Required Knowledge and Experience**
+ 7+ years of progressive experience in IT integration with a Bachelors Degree in engineering or MCA or MSc.
+ Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities, including the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
+ Ability to lead the development, deployment, and technical quality of large enterprise or global solutions that span multiple technologies and disciplines.
+ Participate in integration design activities working with Solution Architects, Technical Leads, and peer Team Members.
+ Understanding on integration technologies, middleware platforms, integration design patterns, messaging frameworks, and API management, ETL tools, data transformation techniques and ESB frameworks.
+ Ability to understand the customer's business problem, need, or opportunity and to design a solution that completely and correctly addresses the business problem, need, or opportunity without unnecessary enhancements.
+ Experience working with Real Time & Near Real Time integrations, including Message Oriented based message handling techniques.
+ Experience with Cloud technology AWS including containers, Kubernetes, Docker and understanding of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platform/Applications.
+ Experience /Knowledge in designing CI/CD solutions.
+ Demonstrated experience with enterprise database technologies like Oracle, DB2, Snowflake, DBT and MS SQL Server.
