Designation: Senior QA Engineer for APIs
 Location: Remote/Pune
 Experience-5 +

Job Summary  
 We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing software applications, particularly APIs, and excel in creating and managing test documentation. Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

Proficiency in Python programming, including writing clean and efficient code. Experience with frameworks like FastAPI for building microservices & RESTful APIs, Pytest for Unit Testing automation.
Understanding of core AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS. Knowledge of AWS security best practices, including VPC, security groups, and IAM
Knowledge of Kubernetes concepts (pods, services, deployments, namespaces, clusters, scaling, monitoring) and YAML files.
Experience with Apache NiFi for automating data flows between systems. Ability to configure and manage NiFi processors for data ingestion and transformation.
Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, Kompass.
Knowledge of managing relational databases on AWS RDS, Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing data, and performance tuning.
Experience in executing projects in an Agile environment.
The skills that are good to have:
Knowledge on Oracle Application R12.
Experience in Oracle PL/SQL for writing and debugging stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
Oracle SOA Suite for building, deploying, and managing service-oriented architectures. Experience with BPEL (Business Process Execution Language) for orchestrating business processes.

About the Team

The Observability Platform team at SolarWinds develops the core services and APIs that power our next-generation observability products. The Telemetry & Data APIs team focuses on building scalable APIs and backend systems that allow internal teams and customers to retrieve, query, and analyze vast volumes of telemetry data in real time.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer , you’ll design and implement backend systems and APIs that power querying and analysis across billions of telemetry data points. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on solving high-scale performance problems, building clean and sustainable APIs, and enabling product teams to deliver powerful observability insights to our customers.

About Mixpanel

Mixpanel is powered by a custom distributed database. This system ingests more than 1 Trillion user-generated events every month while ensuring end-to-end latencies of under a minute and queries typically scan more than 1 Quadrillion events over the span of a month. Over the last year, our inbound traffic has doubled. As our existing customers grow in volume and we add new ones, we expect this growth in traffic to continue. The Distributed Systems engineering teams are responsible for adding new capabilities and ensuring the smooth operation of the underlying systems.

About the Team

The Data Pipeline & API team is responsible for the Data APIs, Pipelines, and Integrations that power real-time movement of customer data and support trillions of requests each month. These systems are critical to Mixpanel’s product and business, enabling core workflows for external customers. This includes data APIs, which are foundational to customer onboarding and must be highly reliable and scalable; data export APIs, which help us maintain feature parity and support the needs of scaling customers; and integrations like warehouse connectors and cohort exports, which reduce friction, drive adoption, and expand our partner ecosystem. This role ensures these systems are robust, efficient, and aligned with a product strategy that emphasizes impact, growth, and long-term reliability.
