**Who you are**:
- Assists, advises and executes network operations (project initiations, system requirements, incident management and cost base management;
- operational excellence), solves problems through development of methods and approaches within defined policies;
- Drives the delivery of the roadmap to ensure the availability, performance and scalability of the network systems and to support the achievement of the Network Operations strategy;
- Works effectively with colleagues across the delivery of preventive maintenance and acceptance tests;
- Ensures other activities are conducted according to the highest level of operations standards in line with KPIs, (e.g. making sure planned outages don't exceed the given time limit);
- Contributes to ensuring end to end Customer Service assurance with focus on high availability, minimum restoration times and customer management;
- Supports the process of ensuring customer SLA delivery, service vvailability, quality and continuity assurance;
- Assists with consolidation of Service Assurance function for IT and Networks, (incidents, problem and change management) for both fixed and mobile;
- Supports senior leaders resolve complex or novel network challenges and ensures the team update Customer Care / Account / Service Managers in line with processes;
- Maintains solid relations and provides clear vendor and partner management, controls the scope of maintenance contracts and any kind of managed service contracts related to network and operations as well as the associated budget;
- Uses best practice knowledge to plan, schedule, implement and test new services, new features and network expansions;
- Understands the needs and ensures actions and escalations are routed/highlighted as necessary, (both internally and/or externally), to achieve service restoration in case of faults;
- May provide informal guidance to junior staff.

As our Digital Technical Authority (Director level) for our Global Technology Centre (GTC) in India, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by shaping and executing our organization’s technical strategy. Your expertise will guide critical decisions, ensuring that our projects align with industry best practices, innovation, and quality standards. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of excellence.
The Digital practice in the GTC consists of three practices Enabling Services, Data Intelligence and Technology Solutions. As the Technical Authority you will be the accountable for the technical delivery across all three practices. You will ensure that technical decisions are made with a balanced view of what good looks like, considering the buy, partner, build decision, technical development stack available, and data, security and IP considerations. You will engage heavily in our digital Global Technical Networks (GTNs), shaping these and aligning the GTC accordingly.
Enabling Services encompasses our digital internally managed services that support our wider business. Data Intelligence helps our clients set data strategy and governance, architect and manage their data and generate insight from it through artificial intelligence and powerful visualizations. Technology Solutions is our end-to-end service to help our clients integrate, deliver and run high quality technology their people embrace.
You will need to work with the Practice Leads in India, whilst collaborating closely with counterparts in our global regions to instill technical rigor into our development processes, coaching and mentoring junior staff so they are able to make better technical decisions day to day, whilst being the ultimate stop for more complex decisions.
This is a part-time team leadership role, and you will have a non-productive allowance to balance alongside your wider project delivery.
