As our Digital Technical Authority (Director level) for our Global Technology Centre (GTC) in India, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by shaping and executing our organization’s technical strategy. Your expertise will guide critical decisions, ensuring that our projects align with industry best practices, innovation, and quality standards. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of excellence.
The Digital practice in the GTC consists of three practices Enabling Services, Data Intelligence and Technology Solutions. As the Technical Authority you will be the accountable for the technical delivery across all three practices. You will ensure that technical decisions are made with a balanced view of what good looks like, considering the buy, partner, build decision, technical development stack available, and data, security and IP considerations. You will engage heavily in our digital Global Technical Networks (GTNs), shaping these and aligning the GTC accordingly.
Enabling Services encompasses our digital internally managed services that support our wider business. Data Intelligence helps our clients set data strategy and governance, architect and manage their data and generate insight from it through artificial intelligence and powerful visualizations. Technology Solutions is our end-to-end service to help our clients integrate, deliver and run high quality technology their people embrace.
You will need to work with the Practice Leads in India, whilst collaborating closely with counterparts in our global regions to instill technical rigor into our development processes, coaching and mentoring junior staff so they are able to make better technical decisions day to day, whilst being the ultimate stop for more complex decisions.
This is a part-time team leadership role, and you will have a non-productive allowance to balance alongside your wider project delivery.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Insurance Technical Analyst with a strong understanding of London Market processes, particularly LPAN (London Premium Advice Note) and associated premium, tax, and regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in interpreting and processing LPANs, understanding premium calculations, and managing documentation such as IMR and ECF applications. This role is critical to ensuring accuracy in premium calculations, compliance with tax regulations, and effective technical support within the underwriting and finance teams.
Responsibilities
• Interpret and analyse various types of LPANs and ensure accurate data entry and processing.
• Calculate and validate Gross to Net Premium including adjustments for brokerage, taxes, IPT, and other factors.
• Possess strong working knowledge of tax types including Additional Taxes, Deductible Taxes, and Stamp Duties.
• Handle IMR (Insurers Market Repository) and ECF (Electronic Claims File) applications with attention to detail.
• Demonstrate understanding of Signed Lines vs Written Lines, and how they affect premium allocation.
• Analyse and process Bordereaux submissions in line with internal and regulatory standards.
• Ensure accurate handling of key premium terms such as Gross Premium, Net Premium, Brokerage, IPT, and Rate of Exchange (ROE).
• Apply strong analytical and mathematical skills to perform complex premium and tax calculations.
• Support underwriting, claims, and finance teams by providing accurate and timely technical analysis.

Minimum qualifications
• Graduate (in any discipline)
• Prior experience in the London Insurance Market or technical underwriting support function.
• In-depth knowledge of LPAN structure and types.
• Familiarity with market systems such as IMR and ECF.

• Basic knowledge of Bordereaux preparation and interpretation.
• Fluent in English language- both written and oral
