Position title - Senior Data Engineer
Experience - 10-12 Years
Location - Remote(India)
Overview
Reporting to Head of Development, you will be responsible for developing and optimising data driven products and services for our Qinecsa product suite, including data lakehouse, Data Access APIs and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Design and architect future-state solutions
- Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical product data models
- Assist in process and performance optimization for data access
- Database tuning and optimisation
- Help guide and mentor less experienced software developers
- Support and resolve base product defects and incidents client testing and production environments
- Staying up to date with recent technology trends and tools.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive professional data product development experience, including design, development, documentation, and maintenance across the full software development lifecycle
- Experience in designing and implementing data products
- Experience creating secure data solutions including avoidance and mitigation patterns for relevant current and previous OWASP top-10
- Demonstrable experience in data modelling and tuning SQL query performance
- Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and efficient data design and access (ORM, JDBC, DAO, SQL)
- Experience or an intertest and willingness to learn GXP/Computer Systems Validation principles
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Life Sciences and / or Pharmacovigilance related data sets and standards, e.g. E2B R2 / R3, MedDRA, IDMP
- Developing Healthcare or Life Sciences data products for regulated environments
- Developing using AWS, and associated proprietary AWS services, e.g. S3, RDS, DMS
- Development using Eclipse, Git and Jira in a hybrid Agile methodology
- Data management tools, such as Flyway or Liquibase
- Reporting and BI tools such as Tableau
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, informatics, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of fulltime experience in data engineering / modelling
