About the Role
CSV is seeking an India-based candidate to join our growing team as a Country Lead. This role is pivotal in driving business development efforts and facilitating the energy transition through innovative, finance-focused approaches. You will lead market expansion initiatives and manage complex projects that align with CSV's mission to advance climate and energy solutions.
About You
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in climate, energy transition, finance, and business development.
- Exceptional communication skills and strong connections within the Indian power and/or finance community.
- A deep understanding of India’s electicity, capital and financial markets.
- Proven track record in deal closure, particularly in debt and/or equity financing in India, including project finance, private debt, loan syndication, and structured finance.
- Prior experience in country team management or a supervisory role is preferred.
- Highly professional and reliable in their approach
- Proficiency in financial modeling is required.
- Strong team player mentality with the ability to manage both teams and large transactions.
- Proven success in client management.
- Entrepreneurial, creative, and self-driven.
Core tasks include:
- Leverage CSV's established network of international financial institutions, along with personal local financial connections, to develop, structure, and close financial transactions for CSV's current and upcoming energy transition projects in India.
- Collaborating closely with the CSV’s leadership to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects, encompassing business development, origination, new market initiatives, and project management.
- Effectively coordinating with multiple stakeholders (including clients, other consultants, key industry players, and regulatory bodies).
- Supervising and preparing client’s deliverables including research and write-ups including papers, concept notes, and presentations.
- Leading management of transactions and engagements.

- Reviewing existing laws and regulations, industry and economic trends, and other data required to complete reports
