Introduction:
The Digital Product Owner will primarily become the expert in our digital customer journeys, platforms,
product and proposition offering and the external landscape to which Barclaycard Payments operates in.
The role holder will work closely with various interal teams to spot trends, understand constraints and potential opportunities to implement meaningful change. Once mobilised, the Digital Product Owner will be responsible for the successful delivery of new, ‘best in class’ digital capabilities and business outcomes working alongside our Technology Partners.
You will be part of the Business Payments Digital Transformation business unit that delivers change for our Colleagues, improves our Control environment, enables Commercial growth and to benefits Customers directly or via internal and external partners.
What will you be doing?
- Partner with key stakeholders and business process owners such as Product, Sales, Partnerships and Marketing as well as broader Barclays partners to understand key customer and business problems that need to be resolved
- Provide regular updates directly to the Senior Digital Team on progress against achieving the strategy and the vision
- Utilisation of customer research and testing techniques to ensure simple customer design is central to design & delivery; be the true ‘voice of the customer’ in every change we do
- Prioritise and manage the backlog of requirements within the scope of the defined release
- Povide ownership over the delivery of agreed specific product development/enhancements to time, cost and quality targets
- Ensures ‘show and tell’ sessions are planned and engages and reports to business stakeholders throughout the development process
- Identify and monitor digital data success metrics including value drivers and be an integral part of the testing processes
- Guide and participate in the resolution of Live Incidents and any remediation activities alongside any troubleshooting sessions to identify root cause for these incidents or defects
What we’re looking for:
- Broad knowledge of appropriate product(s) relevant to role, be that digital and ecommerce products, card schemes, CRM tools, back office systems, etc.
- High level of communication skills in order to negotiate with stakeholders, both at junior and senior levels, and internally and externally (clients and technology partners).
- High level of organisational empathy with proven ability to interact with other teams and understand and take into account how allocated digital product strategy will impact other teams’ performance
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Agile development experience, specifically the Product Owner role
- Proficiency in ecommerce or digital product management roles - management and delivery of digital products and capabilities (APIs, web, mobile app, or back office platforms)

**In this role, you will**:
- Establish and maintain the ServiceNow ITSM product roadmap, including cross-product and cross-organizational dependencies
- Understand technology strategy, ITSM ServiceNow cross-product strategy, and related roadmaps to ensure ITSM roadmap alignment across products
- Define, validate and deliver ITSM product outcomes in alignment with related strategies, vendor product roadmap, process and risk goals, and user needs
- Partner with the ITSM ServiceNow engagement manager to identify demand opportunities worth investigation and investment
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the product's technical and business architectures, implementation state, revision history, and interdependencies
- Define ITSM current and future state user journeys and articulates product value propositions
- Drive continual innovation and increasing product value through research and analysis of user experience, operational results and process compliance
- Act as a champion for users and their leaders to increase adoption, eliminate barriers and ensure success during release transitions
- Oversee the agile ITSM product delivery lifecycle in support of process governance, day-to-day operation and product maintenance
- Translate product vision and strategy into epics, stories and acceptance criteria with the support of product business analysts
- Work with process owners, key process stakeholders and platform and product development partners to identify a book of work for the ITSM product
- Analyze vendor's release roadmap to identify impacts and opportunities and translates them into the product backlog
- Drive continuous integration and delivery, automation gains, and reduced release cycle times
- Groom and prioritize the ITSM product backlog, including selection of automation opportunities based on ROI
- Engage the vendor for problem solving, future product enhancements and complex design evaluation
- Collaborate with scrum master and development partners to estimate initiative vs business as usual resourcing needs
- Track and report progress of the ITSM product roadmap, including business value realization measured outcomes, and product delivery risks, issues and mitigations
- Perform related work as assigned
**Required Qualifications, US**:
- 10+ years of information technology experience
- 3+ years of experience implementing ServiceNow
- 2+ years of Agile experience
- 2+ years of JIRA experience
**Required Qualifications, International**:
- Digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
**Desired Qualifications**:
- **Service Operation**:4+ years of Incident Management System experience
**CMDB/Discovery**:4+ years of Configuration Management Tools experience
**Workspaces/Analytics**:4+ years of experience creating executive level dashboards, analytics, and reports using advanced visualization tools
