Tekion is seeking an experienced and data-driven Lead FinOps Analyst to spearhead our cloud financial operations and cost optimization strategy. In this role, you will partner with engineering, product, and finance teams to create a culture of financial accountability, ensuring cost transparency, optimized cloud usage, and strategic planning that aligns with Tekion’s fast-paced growth and innovation. Key Responsibilities
FinOps Strategy & Ownership
- Lead the implementation and evolution of FinOps practices across the organization.
- Develop frameworks for cloud cost governance, budgeting, forecasting, and usage optimization.
- Own the strategy and execution of cloud financial reporting and act as a key liaison between technical and finance teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with engineering, DevOps, finance, and procurement teams to drive cloud cost accountability and strategic cloud investment.
- Align cloud spending with product priorities, while helping stakeholders make data-informed decisions.
- Support chargeback/ showback models to ensure clear cost allocation and business unit ownership.

- Manage and optimize pricing models including Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and Spot instances.
- Improve visibility into cloud spend through effective tagging strategies and cost categorization.
Reporting, Tooling & Enablement
- Design and maintain cloud cost dashboards and reports for executive and engineering teams.
- Implement and enhance tooling (e.g., CloudHealth, Cloudability, AWS Cost Explorer) to automate reporting and drive visibility.
