Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for strategic development, implementation, maintenance, and overall success of the company’s regulatory project approvals in different countries.
  • li>Develop, implement, and support a comprehensive regulatory compliance strategy to meet global market requirements for our products and ensure alignment with our overall business strategy.
  • Regulatory affairs strategy and coordination with Internal and external team for Asia, Africa, ANZ, Middle East, Europe and LATAM countries.
  • Coordinate with the Sales & Marketing team for business continuity and center of contact for all regulatory matters.
  • Regulatory compliance and medical device registration in Asia, Africa, ANZ, Middle East, Europe and LATAM countries. Management of a team of RA coordinators for different countries.
  • Manage post approval changes in Global market for all products
  •  Ensure that regulated processes and systems are always inspection ready.
  • li>Draft, review, edit, and maintain all departmental policies and procedures, including Post approval changes, regulatory review of order, label and IFU requirements, Language translation needs, Marketing claims etc.
  • Manage, train and guide the team members as and when required.

This position is responsible for helping with policy research, policy coordination among entities, programming, and coordination of executive government engagements with central and state governments in India. The Senior Manager will support the team with internal coordination and engage with selected external stakeholders to advance policy objectives and business goals in the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Aligns government affairs strategies with broader business objectives by supporting and advising internal teams, including Walmart Sourcing, Global Tech, the Vriddhi Supplier Development Program, Marketplace/Cross-Border Trade (CBT) and the Walmart Foundation
  • Collaborates with Global Government Affairs (GGA) colleagues to develop, maintain, and update key internal team documents and reporting materials. Partners with Communications and Foundation to coordinate external messaging, including the review and editing of press releases and other media materials
  • Lends policy support to Walmart Sourcing, Global Tech, Marketplace/CBT and Walmart Foundation, ensuring seamless alignment with overall business goals
  • Conducts regular discussions with Communications teams across Walmart entities
  • Drives internal reporting processes by drafting and contributing to India-related updates for the GGA team
  • Supports the GGA team by coordinating ongoing research projects with external entities and drafting in-depth analysis reports on key, business-impacting policy issues
  • Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key internal stakeholders, supporting plans to meet business needs, and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
  • Supports key programming activities, including issue-specific roundtables, the Vriddhi supplier development program, and periodic government engagements
  • Represents the company by participating in trade associations
  • Attends select conferences and external meetings, providing concise analysis and readouts on key engagements to relevant internal teams
  • Manages engagement with select government offices
  • Coordinates the submission of written materials and company input required for government and regulatory bodies

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7-10 years’ experience in the public sector or international corporate government relations
  • Ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly effective oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills; demonstrated ability to effectively interact with senior corporate and political stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors, master’s or other Advanced Degree preferred
  • A deep working understanding of the policymaking process and government relations
  • Experience working cross-functionally
  • Ability to communicate complex information and interpret legislative/regulatory language to diverse audiences
  • High ethical standards, confidentiality and strong professional reputation
  • Demonstrated ability to build and foster effective relationships and professional networks
