**Job Title: Specialist / Senior Specialist - Medical Coding**
**Department: Medical Coding - Emergency Department**
**PURPOSE**:
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Medical Coding To read, review and understand the Patient Medical report and convert them into designed Medical Codes by following standard guidelines and instructions pertaining to the project/client/facility using standard coding tools like CPT, ICD, HCPCS coding books or any other applicable tools approved/provided by the reporting Officer.
2. Productivity To achieve and maintain 100% productivity consistently on a daily/weekly and monthly basis provided by the reporting Officer.
3. Quality a. To achieve the productivity target with desired quality of 95% and above on any sample pulled for quality audit b. If the specialist/Senior specialist fails in any of the audits samples with the scores below 95%, he/she need to review the audit results and acknowledge the QA scores with appropriate reason for failing the audit with the improvement plan.
4. RMR complete/ Uncoded UAC/Code As Is a. Medical records that are returned to respective Specialist/Senior Specialist’s coder ID after the Management review, he/she has to review the records and code the report as appropriate on a daily basis.
5. SharePoint a. Specialist/Senior Specialist is expected to refer daily/periodically/need on basis required related coding documents from SharePoint in order to perform the assigned work.
6. Job related reporting a. Expected to be available in Office to accomplish any additional work based on the client/business requirement after shift hours or any weekend holiday or declared holidays. b. Expected to complete any designed task assigned by reporting Officer based on the client/business requirement on regular or need on basis. c. Expected to be available for any meeting/conferences/seminar/training/examinations/assessments on business needs within office premises or outside or outstation. d. Specialist/Senior Specialist are expected to train/mentor/educate/guide his/her fellow team member if he/she is new to the process/project.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:

**Role- Medical Coder:** We are looking to hire an experienced Coder / Sr. Coder with active coding certifications (CPC / CPC-A / CIC / CCS / COC). **About the role**
Review patient medical records following PHI, HIPPA and convert into medical coding code as per ICD-10-CM and PCS guidelines. Complete daily assign tasks within time with expected quality, on time communication to internal/external stakeholders and adhere to organization policies.
