Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Planner with a strong background in skid packages and pressure vessel fabrication to support the planning and execution of complex projects in the oil & gas sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery of fabrication milestones.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (engineering, procurement, fabrication, testing, and delivery).
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to align schedules and monitor progress.
  • Track fabrication activities for skids, pressure vessels, tanks, and related modular units.
  • Identify critical paths, potential delays, and mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in resource planning and allocation for workshop and site activities.
  • Provide regular progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and variance analysis.
  • Interface with clients and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project timelines.
  • Support project control and cost teams with scheduling inputs and updates.



Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering or project management.
  • Minimum 8 years of planning experience in oil & gas fabrication projects (preferably with skids and vessels).
  • Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid understanding of fabrication processes including welding, NDT, hydrotesting, and assembly.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Familiar with ASME codes, fabrication standards, and quality requirements.


Basic Responsibility :


  1. Review & understanding of contract.
  2. Managing and leading the project to ensure the project execution within set boundaries of scope, time, cost & quality.
  3. Internal kick off meetings with cross functional teams & external kick off meetings with Client, consultants to set the project baseline, managing co-ordination of the partners and working groups engaged in project work.
  4. Detailed project planning, monitoring and control with respect to Detail Design & Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Pre-commissioning, and Commissioning of the project including:
  5. Identify/forecasting the critical path activity, schedule risks & preparation of action plan, look ahead plan, catch up plans & responsibility allocation for mitigation on a weekly basis.
  6. Recording and managing cross-functional issues & all project issues by risk analysis and escalating where necessary.
  7. Preparation of project plan using WBS technique & Monitoring project progress and performance as per baseline plan.
  8. Management of cost and cash outflow as per defined job budget.
  9. Negotiation with suppliers, subcontractors as per set budgets/strategies.
  10. Providing status reports to the project sponsor/management & client for decision making.
  11. Interface/collaboration with functional managers, all internal disciplines, subcontractors and client/consultants regarding planning coordination and integration.
  12. Submission and approval of drawings / datasheets & design specification within specific time frame set in kick off meeting.
  13. Resolution of technical issues with customer/consultants, arranging inspections, Inspection release note, Goods receipt note.
  14. Responsible to resolve Customer Complaints or closure of Particular Projects Completely.
  15. Review Tbits on a daily basis and ensuring its regular updation of each project.
  16. Weekly review on order status, progress against quarterly dispatch plan.
  17. Responsible for managing client Inspection and getting dispatch clearances from client liaisoning with required function within organization.
  18. To follow ISO procedures & work instruction.
  19. Responsible for 5- s Implementation.
  20. Responsible for Achievement of departmental quality objectives.
  21. Responsible to resolve Customer Complaints in coordination with customer support team within set deadline.
  22. Creating project closure report, capturing learning’s and making database for future projects reference.
  23. Ensuring receipt of payment as per the payment milestone plan.


Other Tasks / Additional Responsibilities :

  1. Responsible for maintaining Quality objective - Weekly/Monthly sheet.
  2. Responsible for closing Audit report/NC reply within 10 days of Audit report liaising with other de team member.

Project Planning Manager

INTERNAL

As a member of the Project Core Team, liaise with:

  • PM / SSM and Project Team, Bid manager and tender team
  • Site Engineering Planning manager, other métiers Planning Managers (including Participating Units)

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Responsible to develop and maintain the project schedule (internal and customer schedule) in order to manage efficiently the time commitments of the project (tender, contract or program execution).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In tender:

  • Analyse the schedule management requirements of the Customer (contractual tool, schedule structure, reporting constraints,…),
  • Define tender preparation schedule and monitor until the submission of the tender,
  • Detail the tender schedule based on Reference Library templates, gap analysis, Metiers commitments, and PXO (Project Metiers organisation such as PIO / Project Industrial Organisation) tender strategy
  • Highlight the critical path and risks linked to the project schedule and propose the optimisation & mitigation actions,
  • Contribute with the project schedule to the project strategy in compliance with the contractual requirements
  • Participate to the definition of the project schedule interfaces with the partners and the Customer,
  • Deliver on time all schedule deliverables down to the requested level,
  • Estimate the cost of Scheduling management effort.
     
    In contract or program execution:
  • Define and maintain the Project Time Management Plan
  • In case of a multi-Unit project, the lead Unit PrPM co-ordinates the project scheduling community (meetings, MoM…),
  • Detail and update the project schedule based on the contractual targets and data provided by all stakeholders,
  • Propose the project baseline, and ensure its acceptance (internally and by the Customer)
  • Ensure the consistency of all the internal and external Stakeholders commitments, and manages the schedules interfaces,
  • Organise and lead periodic project schedule sessions,
  • Actively participate to project core team meetings
  • Provide a timely updated schedule situation highlighting the gap between the actual and the baseline,
  • Focus on early identification of potential delays,
  • Prepare schedule and progress reports for Customer or Lead Unit or Partners,
  • Provide support to Project Manager on all issues related to projects schedule,
  • For Reference Library, develop and maintain the schedule templates,
     

For all:

  • Apply the Project Scheduling Process,
  • Contribute to the return of experience (REX) and improvements, share best practices.

Performance measurements:

In tender:

  • on-time delivery of all tender deliverables requested to fulfill RFP requirements,
  • on time delivery of schedule analysis for decisions by the Tender Team : critical path, compliance with tender strategy related to contractual milestones, planning risks, mitigation plan and list of ambitions.
  • list of potential gaps between project schedule defined in tender and Platform Reference Library schedule

In contract or program execution:

  • baseline approved (internally and by the Customer) and managed,
  • regular and consistent scheduling updates, with potential delays analysis and actions plans proposed to the project team,

On time delivery of KPIs (OTD, documentation, Gate Reviews GO on time, sales, cash, …)

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced Project Planner with a strong background in skid packages and pressure vessel fabrication to support the planning and execution of complex projects in the oil & gas sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery of fabrication milestones.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (engineering, procurement, fabrication, testing, and delivery).
    • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to align schedules and monitor progress.
    • Track fabrication activities for skids, pressure vessels, tanks, and related modular units.
    • Identify critical paths, potential delays, and mitigation strategies.
    • Assist in resource planning and allocation for workshop and site activities.
    • Provide regular progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and variance analysis.
    • Interface with clients and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project timelines.
    • Support project control and cost teams with scheduling inputs and updates.



    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering or project management.
    • Minimum 8 years of planning experience in oil & gas fabrication projects (preferably with skids and vessels).
    • Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Excel.
    • Solid understanding of fabrication processes including welding, NDT, hydrotesting, and assembly.
    • Strong analytical and communication skills.
    • Familiar with ASME codes, fabrication standards, and quality requirements.


    Basic Responsibility :


    • Review & understanding of contract.
    • Managing and leading the project to ensure the project execution within set boundaries of scope, time, cost & quality.
    • Internal kick off meetings with cross functional teams & external kick off meetings with Client, consultants to set the project baseline, managing co-ordination of the partners and working groups engaged in project work.
    • Detailed project planning, monitoring and control with respect to Detail Design & Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Pre-commissioning, and Commissioning of the project including:
    • Identify/forecasting the critical path activity, schedule risks & preparation of action plan, look ahead plan, catch up plans & responsibility allocation for mitigation on a weekly basis.
    • Recording and managing cross-functional issues & all project issues by risk analysis and escalating where necessary.
    • Preparation of project plan using WBS technique & Monitoring project progress and performance as per baseline plan.
    • Management of cost and cash outflow as per defined job budget.
    • Negotiation with suppliers, subcontractors as per set budgets/strategies.
    • Providing status reports to the project sponsor/management & client for decision making.
    • Interface/collaboration with functional managers, all internal disciplines, subcontractors and client/consultants regarding planning coordination and integration.
    • Submission and approval of drawings / datasheets & design specification within specific time frame set in kick off meeting.
    • Resolution of technical issues with customer/consultants, arranging inspections, Inspection release note, Goods receipt note.
    • Responsible to resolve Customer Complaints or closure of Particular Projects Completely.
    • Review Tbits on a daily basis and ensuring its regular updation of each project.
    • Weekly review on order status, progress against quarterly dispatch plan.
    • Responsible for managing client Inspection and getting dispatch clearances from client liaisoning with required function within organization.
    • To follow ISO procedures & work instruction.
    • Responsible for 5- s Implementation.
    • Responsible for Achievement of departmental quality objectives.
    • Responsible to resolve Customer Complaints in coordination with customer support team within set deadline.
    • Creating project closure report, capturing learning’s and making database for future projects reference.
    • Ensuring receipt of payment as per the payment milestone plan.


    Other Tasks / Additional Responsibilities :

    • Responsible for maintaining Quality objective - Weekly/Monthly sheet.
    • Responsible for closing Audit report/NC reply within 10 days of Audit report liaising with other de team member.
    • Responsible for on time entry in PTS, GDP, E&P, Engineering Excellence & Weekly Review Sheet.
    • Responsible for approving PO on time.
    • Responsible for updating Lesson Learnt Sheet for every project.
    • Responsible for acting on pending project list.
