Job Summary:
This is a fixed term role for 1 year (12 months) period.
Asset Acquisition acquires or procures physical assets for operating Maersk's E2E transport & logistics business such as: seagoing vessels and towing watercraft; containers; terminal assets e.g. cranes, ports/terminals; warehouse assets e.g. depots, yards, CFS, storage; aircraft; trucks; and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Take ownership of unassigned open requests and manage them in a timely manner.
Identify potential suppliers, send RFQs, review proposals, and create purchase orders (POs).
Follow up with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and resolve PO-invoice mismatches.
Determine the best sources of supply based on price, quality, delivery time, and other criteria.
Coordinate product specification revisions and deviations with suppliers as needed.
Maintain system accuracy, including lead-time, pricing, supplier information, and purchase order data.
Conduct searches for new suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, assess risks, and qualify them as necessary.
Issue purchase orders to suppliers with accurate pricing, deadlines, and terms and conditions.
Review requests for materials, parts, and services, and verify specifications with requesters.
Collaborate with stakeholders, suppliers, and colleagues to ensure smooth procurement processes.
Assist other departments in resolving discrepancies between purchase orders, delivered quantities, quality, and prices.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and help achieve yearly cost reduction targets.
Work cross-functionally within the organization and support other functions as needed.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal teams to facilitate smooth procurement operations.
Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide timely updates on procurement activities.
Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
Business Continuity:
Ensure continuity of supply by proactively managing supplier relationships and mitigating risks.
Develop contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions and maintain business operations.
Monitor market trends and supplier performance to anticipate and address any issues that may impact business continuity.
Teamwork & Supportiveness:
Promote a supportive team culture by sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Provide support to team members and other departments as needed to resolve procurement-related issues.

2-4 years relevant experience in purchase/procurement.
