Key Responsibilities
- Be part of an agile development team and works closely with the product manager, BA, scrum master and developers to build a high-quality enterprise password management tool for bp.
- Providing technical and domain expertise that will help drive decision making
- Create and review Test Plans, Release Notes, Test Scripts, Defect Reports etc.
- Proactively assess testing standards in accordance with regulated guidelines
- Build and deploy test automation for unit testing, integration testing and regression testing in the Azure CI/CD pipeline for both API & UI
- Contribute to the root-cause analysis and debugging activities
- Facilitate bp internal security testing activities
- Analyze and reconcile the existing artefacts (manual and automated tests)
- Define, set up and maintain the necessary QA Processes
- Interpret functional specifications of new features to produce test plans and evolve test strategies
- Ensures the quality standards are adhered to bp standards
- Ensures the relevant end-to-end tests are written to provide rounded coverage to the functionality in context
- Collaborate and coordinate with various internal testing team of bp to conduct non-functional tests such as penetration tests and code scanning
- Produce clear and concise test documentation and reports that can be easily consumed for bug-fixing activities
- Accountable for all quality aspects of the product
- Working with developers and platform support teams to resolve any issues arising in the CI process
- Produce test data and scripts for Unit, Functional and Integration testing
- Driving quality throughout the product lifecycle and development activities
- Automate testing where appropriate, updating and streamlining the test automation framework & coding standards deployed within the team.
- Taking an active role in all agile ceremonies
- Communicate and influence to resolve and highlight risks around defects and releases
- Collaborate with key stakeholders throughout feature delivery e.g. Product Owners, Technical Architects and Designers

Introduction:

- Have a thorough understanding of architecture, infrastructure, Impact assessment of the VPT request and scope identification
- Provide effort estimation based on Impact assessment.
- Prepare performance test strategy, Risk and mitigation of various stages and review performance test plans
- Conduct system performance testing to ensure system reliability, capacity and scalability.
- Reviewing the test scripts, workload model, test execution results summary and final test closure report
- Conduct defect triage meetings
- Analyse test results and coordinate with development teams for defect fixes.
- Identify/analyse root causes of performance issues and provide recommendations.
- Generate test summary reports for management review.
- Present the report to the business, solution architect and LSS team and secure the approvals
- Keep track of the new requirements/changes in the requirements of the Project
- Strong technical, analytical, debugging and problem solving skills
- Liase with stakeholders and various support groups and ensure smooth delivery

What will you be doing?
- Assessing the impact of changes on testing and provide feedback based on impact analysis
- Develop automated(CI/CD pipeline) test scenarios and environments for performance testing.
- Allocate work to team members and supervise the performance testers during the test script creation, workload model preparation, test execution and detailed results summary preparation.
- Proactively identify potential delivery related issues and devise mitigation plan.
- Timely escalations and communication of risks and issues
- Review the Test Environment Specification and Coordinates with the Test Environment Manager
- Analyze the CPU Utilization, memory usage, JVM heap memory, garbage collection, DB connections and DB queries
- Manage defect process and ensure that the process is followed and correct priorities / severities are assigned.
- Identify the bottlenecks using APM tools and provide suggestions/recommendations to resolve the issues
- Measure results against business and technical requirements.
- Co-ordinate with different VPT teams for final E2E performance testing report and approvals for governance
- Ensure successful completion of different testing milestones.
- Prepare and update the metrics, test artifacts in confluence at the end of the test phase or project completion.
- Guide the team members on technical issues and conduct trainings
- Document all problems and issue resolutions.
- Collaborate with the relevant teams, to ensure high quality Performance testing.

What we’re looking for:

- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Performance Testing and engineering,
- Working experience in HP Load Runner, performance center with Web (Http/Html), Web services and other protocols.
- Working Experience in UI, API and Batch Application Performance testing.
- Strong knowledge of monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Wily Introscope, Ganglia.
- Working experience or hands-on on database like Oracle and Mongo DB.
