Job Title: Sociomagician

Job Overview:

As a social science teacher, you will take your students on a journey through history, politics, economics, and all the fascinating bits in between. You'll be grading essays with a red pen, of course, but you'll also be inspiring curiosity, nurturing critical thinking skills, and encouraging your students to become active and informed global citizens.

Office Timing:

5.5 days per week (11AM - 8PM)

Responsibilities:

•Setting up schedules, lesson plans, and selecting learning material and resources that will help achieve curriculum objectives.

•Analyzing needs, interests, strengths, and weaknesses of students, and developing lesson plans in accordance with these factors.

•Monitoring progress and discipline, and keeping parents and school counselors informed of learners who need extra support.

• Establishing classroom and debating rules, and ensuring all students obey these rules.

• Requesting appropriate textbooks and learning aids.

• Organizing field trips and ensuring permission slips are handed out and signed in a timely manner.

• Participating in school events and acting as a chaperone when required.

• Attending meetings, staff training, conferences, and other ongoing learning programs.

• Informing students of learning opportunities and preparing them for formal debates and other events.

Social Studies Teacher Requirements:

• Degree in education, history, geography, or a related discipline.

• Master’s degree preferable.

• Relevant certification or license may be required.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and debating skills.

• Ability to remain calm under pressure.

• Strong multitasking abilities and sound knowledge of current events.

• Strong cultural sensitivity.

• Taking doubt classes for students at the center

• Developing study material for the NSO, NTSE, IMO, NSEJS, Olympiad and other competitive entrance exams for 8th,9th and 10th class students.

• Reviewing already created study material for further improvement and enhancement

• Developing questions for the purpose of Assignments, Practice Questions, Test Papers and Daily Practice Worksheets etc

• Conducting extra classes as when required to help weak students or to give more grilling to good students.

• Complete the entire syllabus of the designated batches well in time with full satisfaction of students, parents and the management

• Maintain a cohesive, non-political and transparent atmosphere in the staff room/organization

• Keep upgrading the knowledge base by studying new and revised books on the subject

• Participate and contribute in all the events, activities, initiatives organized by the management/head office

• Candidate should be an expert in teaching Social Science / Mental Ability (MAT) / English having B.A. / M.A. / B.Ed. / and other relevant qualifications in the respective area for training students for Board Examinations / National level scholarship Exams like NTSE/KVPY etc.
