Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Supplier Strategy

- Drive negotiation strategies, supplier onboarding, contract management, and supplier audits.
- Collaborate with global procurement teams for raw material allocation, price benchmarking, and supplier performance improvement.
- Ensure adherence to ISO and regulatory standards.
Inventory & Demand Planning
- Lead inventory planning across multiple fulfillment channels, ensuring optimal stock coverage and minimizing working capital.
- Analyze sales data and forecasts to inform procurement cycles and production planning.
- Monitor inventory health (DOH, aging, shrinkage), proactively resolving supply bottlenecks.
- Develop agile replenishment models for both local and export markets.
- Maintain Daily, Monthly Reporting cadences and reports to facilitate inventory count, and stock in hand / Transit for Mis purposes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Demand planning and Procurement planning or relevant field; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in demand planning roles, preferably in D2C, e-commerce, or consumer goods.
- Strong knowledge of multi-channel demand models especially digital commerce, marketplaces, and global fulfillment.
- Proven track record of managing procurement, forecasting, logistics, and vendor development.
- Experience working with Unicommerce/Shopify/ Zoho systems and analytics tools like power bi.
- Trained in Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. - Analytical mindset, data-driven approach, and a hands-on operator.
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills.

The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for developing, driving, and maintaining the strategic sourcing of production components to support various Polaris manufacturing operations. In addition, this role will be accountable to complete any tactical aspects of the role that may be required in supporting successful product launches, existing production and materials needs, and any service support that may arise. This role will collaborate with US Sourcing and Engineering teams to gain alignment with the overall Polaris sourcing strategies. The development and implementation of these strategies will ensure the supply base attains Delivery, Quality, New Product Integration, and Cost Competitiveness. The focus of this role will be on supply base that is located within the Indian regions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Serve as a specialist for strategic tasks such as category strategy setup, supplier contract and commercial negotiations, presentations to senior management, point of escalation for supply chain emerging issues, process owner for key continuous improvement efforts, and development of category sourcing strategies together with US counterpart.
+ Establish strong working relationships with management-level employees from key suppliers who provide Chassis & Powertrain components to Polaris.
+ Work with a sense of urgency when supplier issues arise and lead problem resolution discussions with suppliers to drive immediate containment and corrective action. Work with the Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to drive short and long-term root cause corrections.
+ Monitor and drive supplier performance for assigned categories to ensure suppliers are meeting Polaris requirements for quality, delivery, and cost.
+ Identify new potential suppliers based on current gaps in the Polaris supply base that can deliver results and a sustainable, world class supply chain and work with Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) team to deliver onboarding target at planned time.
+ Collaborate with cross functional teams to enable development for new products to ensure a successful product launch, on budget, and meet or exceed the production release schedule.
+ Develop capacity assessments with key suppliers to ensure supply continuity.
+ Determine risks in the Asia supply chain and work with the supply chain on mitigation plans.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
+ Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Procurement with demonstrated success in developing supplier partnerships and sourcing strategies.
+ Familiar with Mechanical component and manufacturing process, technical background preferred.
+ Effective negotiation, communication, networking, decision making and problem-solving skills.
+ Effective time-management, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
+ Advanced knowledge of supply contracts with domestic and international suppliers.
+ Excellent English written & verbal communication within team and cross-functionally.
+ Good exposure to Microsoft Excel and working knowledge on excel applications
+ Develop Analysis reports based on the data within Excel.
+ Supplier Development skills/capabilities
+ Working experience with an automotive multinational company on Powertrain (engine) parts is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
+ Fast-paced office environment.
+ Evening meetings/calls with the US is required.
+ 15-30% travel required.
