The Estimator shall be responsible for development of Proposal package which contains pricing with Hardware, Software and Man days required for the given opportunity.
**Specific Duties:**
1. Works independently & is fully proficient in applying established standards of P&E role
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements
3. Must possess good analytical skills in order to have clear understanding of the requirement and converting the requirement into proposal with accurate costing.
4. Estimator needs to work and coordinate with Sales Management, Service Operation Leaders (SOL), LSS Leaders (FSM/SBM), LSS Marketing / Solutions Consultants, Field Service Specialists (FSS) in making the proposal / estimate.
5. Identify 3rd party Packages / Equipment / Buyout items and engage Procurement to obtain sub-vendor Technical and Commercial offers
6. Identify Packages / Equipment from other Business Units, i.e. Advanced Solutions, Cyber Security, etc. and engage the proper BU to obtain Technical and Commercial offers.
7. Ensure that requests are executed within agreed cycle time
8. Be proactive in all areas of work and escalate issues (Customer or internal) to the appropriate person in a timely manner
9. Ensures that the final deliverable meets the functional specifications of the end user by doing thorough Level 1 quality checks.
10. Follow the Quality standards and processes as defined by Internal global business operations.
11. Develop a clear understanding of assigned contract base and potential growth areas
12. Follow Standard Operating Procedures, Process flow charts, Quick Reference Documents, Checklists etc.
13. Updation of request status in SFDC and update the other metrics pertaining to the requirement from LOB.
14. Ensure that a Proposal Plan is prepared as per the SOP's, which should also include all resources, responsibilities, deliverables and dates, for all proposal team members.
