Provides tax advice and services in assigned areas of technical expertise to Agilent at the enterprise and entity levels, and to managers or other employees in the areas of compliance (including SOX), transfer pricing, planning, and training. Assigned areas may include involvement in company income tax, transaction tax, property tax, corporate legal structure, acquisitions and divestitures, transfer pricing and intercompany transactions, and other tax areas. Researches, prepares, analyzes, and documents tax issues and compliance for the geographic and process area of responsibility including related systems and accounting understanding, working with outside advisors where appropriate. Partners with the businesses and other functions in the implementation of business or process changes. Participates in the formulation, coordination and implementation of Agilent's global tax strategy with the objective of optimizing global after-tax results. Participates in the representation of Agilent in audits, litigation and other negotiation with government authorities relating to tax matters. Participates in cross functional projects partnering with finance & non finance functions like Corporate Controllership Organization, Corporate Financial Reporting, Human Resources, legal, corporate development, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and order management.
Proficiency in US Federal Tax Compliance and provisioning with experience in US Federal Returns Form 1120 and aligned forms.
Proficiency in US GAAP and US Tax concepts of Fixed Assets like Section 1245, 1250 assets, Bonus Dep, MACRS, etc., and a good understanding of Deferred Taxes, ETR, etc.
Proficiency in US State Tax compliance and Provisioning.
Requires proficiency in Corptax.
Leads tax projects requiring coordination with other functions/organizations
Solves a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity
Qualifications
Should have work experience in US Federal Tax Compliance (Form 1120), State Income Tax returns, and understanding of FAS-109 (ASC- 740).
Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience for entry to this level or Equivalent. Qualified CA with around 2-3 or CA Inter with around 3-4 years of relevant experience preferred. Bachelor's or master’s degree or University Degree or equivalent.
Requires in-depth knowledge and experience in the job and ability to work independently.
Requires general proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures to accomplish job.

Amazon's diverse online business requires VAT filings in a number of jurisdictions across Europe and creates specific VAT compliance obligations relating to third parties (3P) that sell via our websites. These 3P obligations are the responsibility of the European VAT Compliance & Controllership team (VAT C&C) which is located primarily in Bratislava. We are looking for a number of VAT Analysts to join us in Bangalore. This is a multiple headcount hire, which will involve working within the part of the team that is responsible for checking the VAT compliance status of our 3P sellers, providing 3P data to tax authorities, and controlling the access of 3P sellers to our websites. Work may also include some mainstream VAT compliance activities, supporting internal and external audits, and liaising with colleagues in VAT C&C as well as Tax and the wider business.
