Position Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Asterisk Architect and VoIP Infrastructure Expert with over 15 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-grade telephony systems. The ideal candidate will have led the deployment of Asterisk-based PBX systems for contact centers exceeding 1,000 seats , with proven expertise in scalability, redundancy, performance tuning, and integrations with CRM, Dialers, and AI-based tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Architecture:
  Architect and design high-availability, scalable, and secure Asterisk VoIP systems supporting 1,000+ concurrent agents across multiple geographies.
• Deployment & Configuration:
  Lead deployment and configuration of Asterisk (and related modules like FreePBX, Vicidial, etc.), ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• System Integration:
  Integrate Asterisk with third-party systems such as CRMs, ERP platforms, Dialers, Speech Analytics engines, and AI-based Agent Assist tools.
• Monitoring & Optimization:
  Implement real-time monitoring, logging, call quality assessment, and performance optimization strategies.
• SLA Management:
  Ensure system uptime meets 99.99% availability with built-in failover, disaster recovery, and load balancing capabilities.
• Security & Compliance:
  Implement strong security protocols (SIP TLS, SRTP, firewalls) and ensure compliance with regional telecom and data protection regulations.
• Leadership & Mentorship:
  Lead a team of VoIP engineers and provide training, SOPs, and escalation handling support.
• Documentation & Reporting:
  Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, system diagrams, change logs, and capacity planning reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 15 years of experience in VoIP systems, with at least 10 years dedicated to Asterisk .
• Experience in setting up and managing enterprise-scale environments (1000+ seats) .
• Deep understanding of SIP protocols, RTP, IAX2, dial plan scripting, AGI, AMI, and IVR design .
• Strong knowledge of Linux (CentOS/Ubuntu), MySQL/PostgreSQL , and network administration.
• Familiarity with load balancing, HAProxy, Kamailio/OpenSIPS , and clustering.
• Proficiency in integrating telephony with REST APIs, CRMs (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) .
• Experience with voice recording, call monitoring, reporting dashboards, and QoS metrics .
• Exposure to contact center workflows , predictive dialers, blended campaigns, and CTI connectors.
• Certifications in VoIP, Linux, or related technologies (optional but preferred).

They specialize in delivering robust, scalable VoIP and SIP solutions with a focus on reliability, innovation, and seamless customer experience. The position is  to lead SIP and VoIP engineering efforts and contribute to the design, optimization, and advancement of our core communication products

• Serve as the in-house expert on SIP and VoIP engineering, driving architectural decisions and product innovations.
• Architect and deploy scalable SIP trunking solutions, including dynamic provisioning, multi-region failover, and carrier interconnect strategies.
• Design and implement integration workflows between cloud-hosted and on-premises PBX systems.
• Analyze and optimize SIP call flows including INVITE, BYE, ACK messages, SDP negotiation, and NAT traversal techniques (STUN, TURN, ICE).
• Manage codec handling (e.g., G.711, G.729, Opus) and ensure robust media negotiation and quality.
• Lead SIP trace diagnostics and monitoring using tools like Wireshark and sngrep; perform deep analysis of registration tracking and system health.
• Administer SIP registration servers, applying effective load balancing and failover strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, compliance, and product management to ensure solutions align with organizational goals.

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in SIP and VoIP engineering.
• Deep understanding of SIP protocols, message structures, call routing, media negotiation, and NAT traversal.
• Proven experience designing and deploying elastic SIP trunking architectures.
• Strong command over SIP monitoring and analysis tools.
• Experience integrating VoIP systems with cloud and on-prem PBX environments.
• Solid grasp of telecom codecs and media stream management.
• Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance standards applicable to telecom and SaaS domains.
