The Planning team is busy, and they are looking for a Strategic Planning Coordinator to oversee a team of 3 staff. The role will be responsible for managing the day to day of the strategic planners, providing mentorship and training to the newer members of the team, and taking ownership of some of the projects which include retail and commercial strategy with a focus on activity and retail centres as well as a national land use strategy.
The ideal candidate will have similar experience in local government with Victorian planning system experience. Someone who has the technical proficiency to be able to help with the other team members’ professional development while having leadership and people management skills and experience.
The council is open to a hybrid working arrangement. Ideally, they would like someone on a permanent basis, however, they are happy to appoint someone in the interim on a 3-6 contract.
