# Project Overview:
Bechtel is seeking to expand its decades long relationship with Reliance by providing Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services and Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Services for offsites and utilities (OSBL) for a multi-billion-dollar upgrade / expansion of existing petrochemical facilities in India. Reliance plans to augment its existing petrochemical facilities in Dahej, Gujarat, and Nagothane, Maharashtra, to expand its PVC capacity. The PMC Services will be led out of India with personnel deployed in Mumbai region, the project sites in India, as well as several key contractor locations across India. The EPCM Services for OSBL will be led out of Bechtel's India offices. The positions on the project will start as assignment in Nagothane.
# Job Summary:
Responsible for the organization and direction of construction engineering personnel and activities relating to construction engineering, subcontracts, and engineering liaison to the design functional group. Interprets design drawings and specifications. Supervises field verification of materials and installations. Provides technical direction to construction engineers and contractors in a wide range of construction engineering and design functions relating to multi-discipline engineering in an area or to a single discipline on the overall project. This position is for Offsites & Utilities scope of work and the selected candidate will report to Site Manager Offsites and Utilities.

# Major Responsibilities:
+ Develops and recommends the construction engineering organization for approval by the Site Construction Manager (or appropriate level of Project Management) and prepares employee requisitions.
+ Coordinates with engineering on constructability and design issues and monitors the interfacing between the construction automation plan and the project controls program at the jobsite.
+ Establishes a Design/Field Engineering working relationship and lines of communication with the Project Field Engineer including agreement on engineering deliverables.
+ Responsible for quantity take-off, control, reporting and forecasting, and ensures the implementation of project environmental control plan(s) as required.
+ Support as required the design of temporary construction facilities, preparation of cost estimates for construction activities and coordinates the preparation of cost reports, forecast and progress reports.
+ Reviews and provides input to project controls documents on progress relating to cost and schedule, and material receiving reports and warehousing to assure delivery of correct materials.
+ Develops and ensures the implementation of the project construction procedures.
+ Plans and recommends procedures to be implemented by construction contractors to ensure construction operations are within requirements of engineering design and specifications.
+ Directs the maintenance of construction engineering records for job history. Supervises the receiving, distribution and filing of plans and specifications.
+ Works with customer's resident engineering and operating personnel to coordinate construction activities.
+ Implements controls over variables affecting job progress to ensure engineering and procurement provide timely delivery of drawings, materials, and equipment and to ensure that other corporate programs are fully utilized.
+ Coordinates with Site Construction Manager on contract administration and activities affecting the contract administration operation.
+ Performs employee reviews for subordinate personnel and assists in their development and ensures that subordinate personnel receive progressive training.
+ Reviews and provides input to the project staffing plan for construction engineers and associated personnel.
# Education and Experience Requirements:
+ Required a recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline and specialized courses in construction management, Actual work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the technical knowledge described above. Minimum experience required for this role is 20 years.
**Required Knowledge and Skills:**
+ Technical knowledge of all phases of construction engineering relating to a single discipline interfacing with all areas, or in a multi¬discipline position assigned to a single area.
+ Thorough knowledge of construction activities as they relate to engineering disciplines, cost and scheduling, and contract administration.
+ Familiar with Bechtel's Business Ethics handbook and policies.
+ Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbook and the Bechtel Core Processes as they relate to area of responsibility.

Your key responsibilities
+ Accurate Raw Materials Charging according to SOP/Batch sheet & instruction from Shift in-charges. Maintain & Control Operating parameter of Process as per SOP/Batch sheets.
+ Unloading of intermediates/Fractions/products from equipment (Reactor/Batch still, Tank etc.). Loading of RM, Materials & Blending Operations
+ Utilizes computer technology for data entry/retrieval and calculations & also for generating reports. Ensure Clean & dry Container (TOTE, IBC, Drum) before use. Labelling on each container/storage & piping
+ Sampling as per SOP/Batch sheets. Material shifting & Lifting between Storage area & Equipment as per requirement in SOP/Batch sheets. Record Downtime for equipment.
+ Preparation of Equipment for Maintenance. (Depressurize, Empty, Isolation, Tagging) for Spot permits, Class I & Class II permits as required. Check Equipment for safe operation after completion of maintenance work.
+ Follow HS&E guidelines & ensure a safe workplace. Report unsafe conditions & act to avoid near misses. Fire Watch for any Class I permit as & when required.
+ Basic knowledge of Chemical plant Unit Operations and fundamentals
+ Ensure daily/day-to-day batch & continuous operations, data entry in batch-sheets per plant requirements.
+ Coordinate with a few functions like Engineering & Maintenance for plant related works, Participate in Idea Generation sessions, various safety initiatives & small group activities.

+ Diploma Chemical engineering or B. Sc (Organic Chemistry -preferred)
+ 6 - 10 years of Production experience
+ Should be able to work as a member of the team/Excellent team player
+ Good shop-floor execution skills, open-minded & demonstrating safe & quality work following guidelines during shift operations

Responsibilities
Evaluate new technologies and processes developed by the R&D team for their feasibility in commercial-
scale production.
● Develop and implement strategies for scaling up laboratory processes to full-scale manufacturing,
ensuring consistency and efficiency.
● Collaborate with R&D and production teams to optimize processes for commercialization, focusing on
efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and product quality.
● Provide technical expertise and support during the transfer of processes to production facilities,
troubleshooting issues and ensuring smooth implementation.
● Prepare and Review documents like Equipment Design and Sizing, PFD, P&ID, Heat and Mass balance
calculations, Pump and Line sizing calculations, Safety Studies and reports, Scaleup and Technology
Transfer reports, Equipment suitability and mapping, Effluent study and management, Solvent Recovery,
Cost Optimisation reports, reports for Business Review Meetings, etc.
●Pilot plant trials include comprehensive study of each new manufactured product employing lab analytical
techniques.
●Prepare and review documents like Management of Change, Deviation, CAPA, OOS, OOT, BMR, BCR,
Validation Study reports, Maintenance reports, Safety studies like HAZOP, PSSR, Risk Assessment and
Mitigation, etc.
●Conduct, review and evaluation of Simulation studies as and when required like Aspen Plus/Aspen Hysys,
HTRI, VISIMIX, CFD, RCe1, TSU, DSC, AFT FATHOM etc.
●Select and size utilities- Steam, Hot Oil systems, Hot Water System, Cooling water and chilling Water Plant.
●Develop Instrument selection (Flow, Temperature, Pressure, Level, pH) and process control philosophy.
●Responsible for quality output for engineering deliverables, Support team on Production Plant
Design/Layout, Equipment Specifications, Process Flow Documentations etc.
●Manage technology transfer projects, including timelines, budgets, and resources, to ensure successful
and timely completion of commercialization efforts.
●Conduct risk assessments associated with technology transfer activities and implement measures to
mitigate potential risks to personnel, equipment, and the environment.
●Prepare for regulatory as well as customer audits. Provide required data to finance team for Inhouse
finance audit.
●Analyse production data to generate data-based product capability assessments and process
optimization.
●Define and implement changes to existing process controls, as well as potential new or additional
systems.
●vendor quotation evaluation and technical review of the proposed offer for plant equipment and verify
its alignment with the plant specifications.
