Recognizes and evaluate sales, promotional campaigns, and other opportunities to secure reduced prices. Assesses supplier's products to ensure that they comply with specifications and meet the organization's quality standards.

This role is overall accountable for New Part development, Commodity strategy execution, Vendor supply assurance, capacity planning and ensuring material availability as per production demand in the SES category . This role partners with stakeholders- Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality ,Design & Supplier to ensure no impact on Project launches.
**Your responsibilities will include**
Lead the EES part development for Pan india inline with WPD process and ensure project launch KPIs are meeting the Targets
Coordinate with CFT & Supplier for implementing Business Essential, Cost & Quality projects on time and First time right
Support & execute new supplier onboarding process by following global commodity strategy and product approval process (WPD)
Represent the Product management team in NPI ,P4G & manage the project timeline and deliverables
Identify & execute the cost savings/dual sourcing opportunity in Electronics,ELME,MPGH ,Wiring harness & Tier2 category
Supplier delivery performance review on periodic basis & report to leadership for decision making
Run @ rate study and capacity readiness as per Profit Plan numbers
Study Forecast Variation on regular basis & ensure material readiness with Optimum inventory in Local & import supplier end
Asset Management- Tool life mapping, Physical verification support for Auditing team, MOB/Capacity planning to meet LTCP numbers
Supplier Obsolescence management NPI/EPI projects & On time liquidation plan execution/Settlement

**The team you will be a part of**
The Operations/Production team plans, directs and monitors all production activities within an assigned area or unit to maximize the use of the organization's resources and meet established production specifications, schedules and quality standards. Liaise with functional or operational area managers to understand their current and future product needs and develop plans, cost estimates, and schedules for integrating these needs into existing manufacturing activities.

Reporting of production KPIs (Yield,OEE,Productivity,FPY,Customer acceptance lab)
Identify losses through OEE and drive actions/projects to improve OEE.
Continual improvements for scrap reductions.
Ensure the safe use of equipment and ensure proper PPE adherence
Take action for the Near miss and safety abnormalities
Basic knowledge in TPM or TQM or WCM.
Check production output according to specifications
Submit reports on performance and progress
Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures
Conduct Workstation study increase the productivity
Conduct Material review board meeting and control scrap by taking active measure
Create rotational plan to improve the flexibility of employees
Conduct Process control audit and take measures
Conduct a 5S audit and take action for open points. Maintain 5S in the Shop Floor.
Conduct Product safety / 8D meeting with CFT to take appropriate action for the issues
Create SOP and OPL for the Process
Maintain proper documentation as per ISO requirements
Drive Cost saving projects in Shop Floor
Improve productivity YOY
Raise Purchase requirements for the department requirements in SAP
Follow escalation procedure

**POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:**
+ Position accountable for service parts and spares sourcing activities in coordination with strategic Sourcing policies, procedures, and practices

+ Performs make vs. buy analysis, drive lead-time compression, manage advance exchange inventories, inventory reduction programs, cycle time improvements, security of supply, continuous improvement, BCP's, EDI, and procurement/engineering collaboration.
+ Implement a rigorous and disciplined process for managing the supply base including leading periodic business reviews, monitoring, and managing supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery, technology, service, and leadership), managing supplier relationships, performing root cause analysis and resolution, developing and monitoring supplier improvement plans, and drive significant changes in the sourcing processes via e-commerce tools, supplier scorecards, supplier consolidation, etc.
+ Maintain the highest standards of financial and process control for local and global compliance.
+ Utilize continuous improvement logic and methods to drive efficiency across all operations.
+ Participates in cross-functional teams, task forces, and global Kaizen events.
+ Identifies new sourcing/supplier solutions and in parallel phase-out marginal or niche suppliers, while ensuring contentious parts supply
+ Participates in regional strategic planning efforts and cross-functional leadership teams.
**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in related discipline
+ 10 - 15 years' related experience including people management experience.
+ Strong forecasting, negotiations, and contract management skills, including a working understanding of contractual terms and conditions and risk mitigation
+ Understanding of the legalities of ethical purchasing behaviors and the ability to work with Legal on assuring those aspects
+ Ability to indirectly influence and lead cross-organizational and/or cross-functional teams, including a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally (e.g., engineering teams) at all organizational levels and/or with outside professionals.
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving/troubleshooting, communications, presentation, and problem-solving/trouble-shooting skills
+ Effective time/resource management and project management skills/capabilities
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint

**What you'll do:**
Support Design & Development of products such as Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), micro data centers, and server racks, and create product BOM in SAP and release for manufacturing. Responsible for customized solutions, lias with sales and customers for design approval.To Be Quality concious during the design inception stage to ensure reliability and consistency in delivering results. Work on VAVE/ Feature addition as well as Quality improvement projects on the products, Localization support and validation is also included.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Design and develop mechanical systems and components for UPS, micro data centers, and server racks.
+ Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and specifications using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo).
+ Perform thermal and structural analysis to ensure product reliability and compliance.
+ Collaborate with electrical and systems engineering teams to integrate mechanical designs.
+ Support prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical designs.
+ Drive design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
+ Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure quality and cost targets are met.
+ Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., IEC, UL, RoHS).
+ Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
+ Continuously improve design processes and contribute to innovation initiatives.
**Qualifications:**
+ Education - BE/ B.Tech
+ Experience - Min. 4-6 years experience on Creo and Solidworks platform in Sheet metal domain and AutoCAD for GA, SLD and layout design.
**Skills:**
+ Expertise in Sheet metal designs, preferred in UPS products.
+ Demonstrating in 3D Modelling, 2D drafting & detailing standards using Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD and proficient in PLM fundamentals.
+ Knowledge in Material Selection of Electro-mechanical products (Steel, Copper, Stainless Steel, Brass ,Epoxy, Thermoset).
+ Knowledge of product BOM preparation and structuring in SAP.
+ Follow standards IEC, ISO, ANSI, and ASME & ASTM for all relevant product designs.
+ Provide specialist support on sheet metal & enclosure design, Molding design, press parts, strength of materials and fasteners to help the team deliver projects in time.
+ Provide Engineering support in creating manufacturing processes on New/VAVE/Custom solution products.
+ Support to Identify/ Develop new vendors for the Localization projects.
+ Well conversed in ECN/ECO process.
+ Manufacturing Industry Exposure like Fabrication/ Machining and molding.
