We are looking for a hands-on Director of Engineering to join the Indias Engineering organization; you will help scale and build the next generation of platform and services/products.

As a technology leader, you will help build a top-tier software organization that is responsible for the development and upkeep of highly scalable, reliable, and available (5 nines) systems.

This position is a people manager role reporting to the VP, Product & Technology.

Hire and develop great talent while building a solid engineering organization that thrives on execution, innovation and learning.

Deliver products that delight customers while managing the health of the code base through continuous refactoring and management of technical debt.

Champion the culture, processes, and tools required to maintain a frictionless high-quality development environment while being an expert at agile continuous delivery, DevOps and TDD/BDD

Dive deep into technology and are on the forefront of the latest tools, technologies, and strategies and help evaluate, prototype, and introduce them to our team

Provide coaching and leadership in software best practices, automated test strategies, and work toward flattening the cost of change curve for our software products and services

Prioritize great user experiences and be a partner to product management and engineering, sales, operations, and other parts of the business

Be a hands-on technical resource who directs product and technology teams to conceptualize, build and deploy products in a fast-paced agile environment.

What you Bring

Basic

12+ years of combined software development & management experience across multiple languages and frameworks or equivalent experience.

8+ years hands on software development or equivalent experience.

3+ years managing software organizations over 25 people or equivalent experience.

Demonstrated track record of building and leading 25+ size global engineering teams in India while collaborating heavily with teams based in the US and other global locations.

Demonstrated track record of innovating on v1 products - driving them from ideation to usage by millions of users in a startup-like environment.

You obsess over customer experiences and will be a partner to product management/engineering, sales, operations, and other parts of the business.

You thrive in a fast paced, execution driven environment.

Preferred

Experience managing direct reports that are people managers.

Experience with full stack SaaS development - prior experience in Enterprise SaaS companies.

Experience building an integration platform and infrastructure to seamlessly integrate 1st and 3rd party applications.

Experience with distributed backend systems that involved REST API abstraction layers in complex enterprise environments with SOA and ROA or equivalent.

Knowledge and experience in high scale, highly available (99.99+) system

Demonstrated track record of being a change agent, leaving every team and process better than you found it.

About the Role:

Our newest product offers insights on software companies and is growing rapidly. We are seeking a Financial Analyst (Internal Title: Data QA Specialist) to join our Data Product team in India to manage a large portion of the data cleaning and quality assurance processes for this new product. The Data QA Specialist will be responsible for manually reviewing large datasets of raw financial transaction spend data and helping us transform it into accurate business expense insights. You will verify and make corrections to financial transaction data based on U.S. accounting rules, and youll complete your work primarily using tabular data in our proprietary software. This cleaned data will then be used to build insights products in our fastest-growing initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to meaningfully contribute to the growth of our company. Exceptional employees may have the opportunity to be promoted and manage a team of other Data QA Specialists.

This is a fully remote role based in India.

In general, we expect some overlap with U.S. work hours, and we require greater flexibility (i.e., more overlap) during the first few weeks of training and onboarding. More details on work-hour expectations will be shared during the recruiting process.

We expect hires to start in the position on March 10th, 2025.

As Our Data QA Specialist, You Will:

• Own manually reviewing and updating raw financial transaction spend data and invoices to help transform it into an accurate representation of business expense insights
• Verify and make corrections to financial transaction data following U.S. accounting rules, which will include manually adjusting data by:
• Thoroughly reviewing expense trends over time, across many vendors and different accounting record types
• Deduplicating overlapping transactions such as vendor bill and journal entries and selecting the correct record
• Adjusting amortization dates of expenses
• Inferring amortization dates of expenses, if they are not clear
• Verifying and tagging the correct vendor for each transaction
• Document repeated data issues and work with other Data and Engineering teams to improve our data quality assurance processes
• Primarily complete your work using Google Sheets and our proprietary software
• Collaborate closely with our U.S.-based Data Product team every day
• Have the opportunity to be promoted to manage a team of other Data QA Specialists

You Are Likely to Succeed If:

• You have 0 to 3 years of experience as a data or quality assurance analyst
• You have at least 1 year of full-time work experience as an A/P bookkeeper, junior accountant, Accounts Payables (A/P) clerk, or in a similar position using U.S. accounting practices
• You have experience with Netsuite, Sage, Quickbooks, Xero (or similar ERP software)
• You have exceptional attention to detail
• You have experience working with large datasets
• You have experience managing multiple processes in parallel
• You like to solve problems and puzzles
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal teams across time zones and cultures

Prepare daily report,remarks & equipment history. Manpower planning to control.Ensure execution of activities within time & budgetary parameters.Skills in fault diagnosis & rectification compressor .

Microbiological Testing & Analysis:

• Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, processed chicken, water, air, and surface swabs as per standards.
• Identify and analyze microbial contamination, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintain detailed records of microbiological reports and analysis.

Food Safety & Hygiene Compliance:

• Monitor and enforce hygiene and sanitation practices across the slaughterhouse.
• Conduct routine checks to ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, and GMP standards.
• Ensure proper functioning and calibration of laboratory equipment used for microbiological testing.

Quality Control & Documentation:

• Maintain and update microbiological documentation as per regulatory and company policies.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with microbiological quality standards.

Training & Awareness:

• Train plant staff on microbiological hazards, hygiene practices, and preventive measures.
• Work closely with the production and quality teams to improve food safety culture at the plant.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: M.Sc./B.Sc. in Microbiology, Food Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 25 years of experience in microbiological testing, preferably in a poultry/meat processing plant or food industry.

• Skills:

• Strong knowledge of microbiological testing methods and food safety regulations.

• Familiarity with HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSAI, and GMP guidelines.
• Proficiency in lab equipment handling and result interpretation.
• Good communication and training skills.
