Responsible for activities related to the Gas Insulated Substations (GIS) Installation & Commissioning at customer site. Scope starts from mission preparation, mobilization, erection and commissioning work, as well as site management and documentation activities related to this scope. Accountable for the quality of work performed at site following GEV defined safety norms. Executes site activities within a well-defined operations framework. **Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Strong experience on Installation, Testing and Commissioning of GIS/AIS Substation from 66kV to 765KV
+ Candidate must take full ownership of site execution starting from site mobilization till completion and handing over of site to customer
+ Co-Ordination with Customer, Project engineering and Project Management Team for smooth execution of site activities
+ Must update Daily and weekly progress report to Project Team and Operations Manager.
+ Must be capable of preparing project planning, project documentation like Survey report, Method Statement & Risk Assessment and should have good understanding of LCC Schematics, Single line diagram, Site Formats and Site acceptance Tests etc.
+ Site Supervisory activities including site team management and resources allocation as per project requirement
+ Must be capable of delivering Customer Site Training on GIS operations
+ Candidate must be capable of providing Technical Advice to project and tendering team based on the experience and subject matter expertise on GIS upto 765kV (ROE sharing post site completion)
+ Must possess sound knowledge on Environment Health & Safety requirements for GIS related works and substations.
+ Must have sound knowledge of working in live substation, permit to work process, and equipment with Lock out tag out process.
+ May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

+ Must be fluent in English.
+ Nature of work requires travelling within the country and outside the country based on allocated project sites.

+ Execute qualification projects (BCC, Cost out, NPI, Alternate source development) and ensure in discussion with Sourcing, Supply chain, Engineering R&D.
+ Communicates qualification acceptance to the supplier thru the PQ tool
+ Establish and ensure the implementation of the GE Quality Plan and If any customer Quality plan
+ Conduct monthly Quality reviews and corrective actions of suppliers. Manage to perform root cause analysis (RCA) and lead other quality related engagements.
+ Ensure that Return of Experience (RoE) of similar parts are converted into documentation.
+ Continuous Improvement mind set to recommend, request and implement actions for improvement to prevent non-conformities and improve process performance based on supplier audits.
